can i just point out something to think about? nicole hasn't even been in the country, she was in australia and then she was in thailand right after that on vacation with joel, there are pictures from it that he posted. then they came back to la, so where would there be time to spend a few days in nyc? it seems highly unlikely

I wouldnt be surprised if she is smoking, Nicole has never been responsible and sadly, I dont think this baby is gonna help turn her life around.

Believe it or not there are still plenty of women who smoke while pregnant. I think it's disgusting and irresponsible but there are women who do it!

That is certaintly true. A couple of years ago I had a co-worker who smoked during her whole pregnancy and her doctor told her if she quit while pregnant it will be very stressful for her and the fetus.

Perhaps everyone should pause and actually consider that this might not actually be true before burning her at the stake! She hasn't even been in NYC recently. It is humanly possibly that someone made it up to grab a few headlines... it's not like that kind of thing doesn't happen ALL the time.

She's been doing really well and I say good for her. It's not easy to change your lifestyle from one extreme to another. And it would be a shame for people to slam her efforts based on a few rumoured sightings. Lets not forget the principle of innocent until proven guilty!

I agree with Anna! By all accounts Nicole wasn't even in NYC when the sighting occured. Lets just wait before we judge!

Didn't Catherine Zeta Jones smoke when pregnant?? I remember those pictures. AND EWWW to that doctor who said it would harm the fetus if the mom stopped smoking. That mom lied or stretched his words probably.

Yeah...im soooo sure they are mistaken....she would never EVER EVER do anything like that. pfffft. Now...driving the wrong way on the freeway...YES, thats her!

She probably smokes other stuff too while pregnant....sooo dumb.

But weren't they in New York just before they left for Oz? It was a few weeks back, I know, but they were there. I don't believe it's mistaken identity, I believe that somebody needs something to help curb her appetite.

I can't speak for the other doctors, but when my sister was pregnant her dr told her she needed to quit, but that unless she was SURE she could do it, she shouldn't go could turkey, and instead take 2-3 weeks to quit. She said that the stress some people go through when the flat out quit could be damaging to the fetus...

And yeah, I don't know if this is true or not, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me, Nicole's never been the poster child for responsibility.

I remember hearing that Stella McCartney was still smoking late into her first pregnancy. Very bad form indeed.

funny how she was only caught smoking in NYC, despite the fact that the paps have been documenting her every move since the pregnancy was rumored. don't y'all think that we would have seen pictures of this by now?

i'm not defending her if she is smoking because it's a very unhealthy habit, but perhaps we shouldn't draw and quarter her until something more credible than "rumors" surface. as anna said, "innocent until proven guilty."

besides, doesn't brit smoke around her kids? people don't seem to get nearly this worked up about her doing that...and by all accounts smoking around two kids is twice as bad as smoking around one!!

Uh, isn't seafood (tuna and sushi in particular) bad for you when you're pregnant?

Also, although it's bad to smoke while pregnant, people who are heavy smokers make smoke. Of course, they can't smoke 2 or 3 packets like they are used to - in moderation, of course.
