America Ferrera brought out her sexy side for a photoshoot with Marie Claire UK which is definitely a different look from what we see each week on Ugly Betty. While America's face is steadily growing more recognizable, at heart she's not interested in celebrity or Hollywood. In the interview, she talks about not buying into the typical LA lifestyle, saying,
"People think LA is a little society club where everyone meets. You know, Angie is talking to Madonna over iced tea, and Bono and Michael Jackson are golfing. I don't want to work my way through every young, hot Hollywood actor – it's not even realistic. I'd love to say I'm turning down proposals from Jake Gyllenhaal and everyone is dying to date me, but that's not the way it goes, and I'm with someone who I love very much and I'm happy."
America sure chose some funny combinations. Could anyone ever really imagine MJ and Bono playing golf? At least she's a great example of a grounded young actress in Hollywood these days.

25This girl is in no possible way grounded. Sure, everybody likes her cuz she's the "fat/ugly" girl but I don't buy it. Having people like Rebecca Romjin and Vanessa Williams build your ego up to no end has definitely gotten to her head. She acts like a total diva, even instructing crew members to "not look at her directly." I still think she's the fat, ugly girl, but not in a good way.

she always talks about how crap hollywood is, or about her weight (in some form or another). I think she is beautiful, and smart,
but it always sounds like she's whatever about her career. it's like, you've gotten an opportunity that isn't handed to women like her (how many latinas have their own show on tv in america?).
there are so many actors out there that would kill to have her spot, and would enjoy it (no one is asking the girl to be the latin la lohan), but d*mn it! get over yourself.

47I don't work on the set, thank god, my boyfriend is a grip and electric for movies and tv. And OK, maybe america is not fat and ugly. i just mean for hollywood i think she is. in reality i'm sure she's of very average weight and beauty.
