Britney Spears kept her plumped lips covered on her way into a friend's house wearing a surprisingly modest gray sweater dress last night. In fact, by Britney's standards the night of her record release was pretty low key, perhaps made a little more somber by the news about her boys yesterday afternoon. This morning she was up fairly early, however, to chat with Ryan Seacrest...begrudgingly. The audio is below, but suffice it to say that Britney does not have a whole lot of management telling her what to say in interviews these days.
There are a lot of "huh?" and "what" (partially due to bad cell phone reception), but the worst moment for me was when Ryan asked how often she's going to be able to see her kids and she obviously didn't know, instead saying that her "lawyers handle all that stuff." Ugh, there are millions of people who could answer that question better than her. She also said that this was the extent of her album promotion before handing the phone to Allie to jump in the shower. Give it a listen yourself and tell me what you think.

The singer was on the air to promote her new album Blackout, which hit stores Tuesday. She said her big day "was kind of laidback, really," and that she didn't celebrate. "No, we watched movies, that's about it." [But there are pics of her going out to celebrate and she flashed her privates again..am I missing something here?]

10I listened to the interview. Her response to Ryan's question about when she was going to see her kids was more than what was written in this article. It was clear that she was not allowed to talk about the custody arrangements because of the legal proceedings. That's why she ended up saying that the lawyers handle it. She may not be a great mom, but you shouldn't publish half-truths about her.

17Also, agreed on why she was fumbling when it comes to her sons' custody agreement. If you watch previous interviews of her being asked about her sons, she skirts the issue every time. She told Matt Lauer in that infamous interview that she does not want to discuss her kids in interviews.
If you watch pap videos, when she is asked about them and custody and what she's doing with them her responses are very shorts. "They're good." She keeps details to a minimum.

Lazy you know what...she really thinks she should just be able to release an album and everyone should buy just because she's sh*tney Spears.

I knew they had “back ground” singers that sounded like her to fill in the parts that she couldn’t sing well, but now this makes me wonder how much of the cd and the single are actually her voice. The more I watch and hear Ryan Seacrest in action, the more he impresses me with how professional he is. He works very hard and really does a good job at interviewing and hosting.
That said, no matter how hard he tries, there is nothing he can do to make this interview interesting, because Britney is so wasted and stupid.

49She married a guy who got his girlfriend pregnant twice, he got her pregnant twice, spent her money, divorced her when she couldn't get her figure back and now he has custody of her kids, he was a back-up dancer for goodness sake. She still loves him, is she insane. She hates herself, she is trying to fix everything physical about herself and nothing will work and she will never be satisfied until she finds peace within. Everyone has to grow up sometime. She's a mother and needs to act like one, give her children an example they can be proud of. If for no other reason than to not be like her own mother, when Britney started down the wrong direction, where was her mother with advice she could respect. Justin T. recognized it and left before she could bring him down to her level of self disrespect. Why else would she get involved with a person like the one she married, he's a good father figure? Come on that's a joke, he used her like toilet paper and she let him. Now her life is a mess and no one is there to help her pick up the pieces and get her life back on track. She needs serious therapy, not a new album that sounds like something she did when she was 16, she is now a grown woman, by age at least. Go off by yourself, learn some self respect and stop trying to be something your not. If your not happy within, you will never be happy with anything.
