Jennifer Garner looked a little tired but still flashed a huge smile and waved to her waiting fans as she left the Richard Rodgers Theatre in NY yesterday. After weeks of rehearsals and preview performances, tonight is Cyrano de Bergerac's official opening night. Jennifer will be alongside Kevin Kline on stage for 10 weeks and we want to know — would you go see Jennifer Garner on Broadway?

I wouldn't, but just because I totally hate her.
1No, but again not for the reasoning given. Why should movie stars stick to the big screen??
I wouldn't go see her because once she starts talking, she bugs the absolute heck out of me. I think she's pretty, but for some reason once that mouth starts moving it all disappears for me. So I'd spent the entire performance trying not to chew off my own arm.
2I would love to see her on Broadway
3no way
4no.. Julia Roberts anyone?
5i would. i totally love her.
6I actually already have a ticket to see the show in December! I'm more excited for Kevin Kline, actually, but Jennifer is cool, too.
7I already got tickets! December 1st!! Kevin Kiline should be great - and Jennifer Garner is a bonus! Why not see it with a celebrity?!?!?!?!
8She has Harry Potter glasses!!!
9Hmmm maybe I could see her...she is fun and high spirited...
i dunno.
10Nah, but mostly because Broadway doesn't much interest me anyway, and Garner is just blah to me.
11In that second picture she just looks so gracious and genuine. May not be her best outfit or look but she still looks so wonderful just because you she is 100% real and down to earth.
*sigh*
I love her so.
12I saw it last weekend... It was okay, not the best play I have seen. Went to see it for JG but thought it was more modern (steve martin version) not Shaksphere. She did a good job for her first go around.... her hair bothered me though.
13whats up with the glasses?
14maybe maybe not
15Ugh she is so annoying. I don't understand why she is famous at all. She is so plain and has never exhibited any real talent. Hopefully Broadway will give her a chance to fix the latter. She will still look like an unkempt soccer mom though.
16I would see her on Broadway, she's ok but I would go for Kevin Kline before going for her.
And is it just me or are these polls annoying and a bit childish? I don't know I just feel like I'm 13 when I look at these polls. Hee.
17I'm pretty sure she's always worn glasses. I wear contacts usually but sometimes my eyes are so dry or irritated that I give them a break and wear glasses. Don't see a big deal there.
18I think she looks like Where's Waldo in that first pic
But I don't know if I would see her on broadway....I rather see other shows before I saw that one!
19Jen is alright. I'll definitely go.
20Jmast I feel the same
, that's why I hardly ever vote in them. I just stick to
commenting!
LOL Butterfly, she does!
21I already saw this show in previews. While I like her and she has a nice stage presence, she just wasn't very good. She's not a strong enough actress for Broadway or that role.
22Hi FB1977
23Hi FB
I don't mean to sound mean but she does
24No, I think shes pretty annoying. She just doesn't come across as a serious actress. Once she opens her mouth, its down the hill from there.
25I think she is a great actress, and was amazing in Alias. She was able to play lots of different levels. I dont' know how she would be on a big stage, but I would love to see her try!
I know she started off on stage in New York before working on tv.
26I'll be there tonight and let you all know how I think she did (I'll post a snippet of my VG review). I love Jennifer Garner and I think she's actually a far more nuanced actress than she gets credit for being.
27I really don't like her.
28I would go see her on broadway; she's one of my favorite actress'
29No way I find her so annoying Rachel Ray annoying in fact.
30she looks so different ... why ??
31I would definitely go see her. First of all...i love Cyrano...second...i love Kevin Kline...and thirdly...i love seeing plays....and fourth...i think Jennifer would be great to see on stage. So yeah...
Yeah...the polls are a bit weird. I just dont like that its not NO or YES...but its "No: i wouldnt go because i hate her." or "Yes: because i love everything she does." lol...too definite. I know the above didnt say all that...lol..but some of these polls are like that.
32Yeah Novaraen, that's why I usually select Other and then type in my own opinion
33"I love Jennifer Garner and I think she's actually a far more nuanced actress than she gets credit for being."
I agree!
She won a golden globe against Soprano heavy weights for best dramatic actress, and was nominated 4 or 5 times. Also for the Emmy.
34no way...b*tch can't act her way out of a paper bag...
35I too saw it in previews- not specifically to see her but to see Kevin Kline- who was wonderful! Jennifer did a fair job- not a real sparkle to her on stage but no means was it a dreadful performance. Actors from TV and the cinema do live theatre for the experience and the rush you get from several hundred people right there- each performance is different because each audience is different. Good on her for trying something new.
36I also saw it in previews last weekend, mainly because I wanted to see Kevin Kline. While Kevin Kline was amazing (he is such a natural and seems so comfortable up on the stage), Jennifer really held her own. I was rather surprised that she did as well as she did. She had an surprisingly deep stage voice and seemed somewhat comfortable on the stage. I'm not saying she holds a candle to Kevin Kline, but she certainly didn't bomb!
37omg she looks like such a nerd
38i voted no...she has manly features and she's never really grown on me, not even since she had that show, what was it called? iono, she rubs me the wrong way.
it doesnt mean her acting skills are bad...im sure she's okay.
39Yes, but only because I know my husband would die to be that close to her.
40yawn.
41I'm seeing it Saturday and can't wait! (Mostly excited for Kevin Kline)
42Absolutely!
43She seems like a genuinely nice person and I hope her run on Broadway is successful.
44
jmast and butterfly!
45Yes, yes, yes!! I ♥ her...I tried to talk my bf into it...he's not easily persuaded...
46Yes I love her.
47Manly features? Wow..
I love her and would def see it.
48I adore her!
49I have tickets for Saturday night also! So excited! I absolutely adore her & can't wait to see Kevin Kline also!
