Sweetheart Johnny Depp put on his best freaky Sweeney Todd face for this week's EW cover. Yesterday we read his amazingly sweet quotes about his daughter and working with his friend Tim, and now here's more from his awesome interview. Also, how cute is he in that picture with Tim Burton? Love them. Here's more:
EW: Did you let your family in on your Sweeney singing practice?
Depp: When I was doing the demos in Los Angeles, I came home and played it for Vanessa. That was one of the more frightening moments. You go I'm gonna fall on my face.
EW: What did they make of it?
Depp: They said, "Is that you?"
EW: Do the often weigh in on your performances?
Depp: After Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, [my family] went to see it. I hadn't seen it. I was waiting at home, and they came back. And my daughter came up and went, "You're really weird."
EW: So you haven't seen Charlie since then?
I still haven't. I find it so difficult to watch anything I'm in. I don't like to be aware of myself in that way. I love discovering moments on the set. But I can't stand the idea that I have to see it later.
Johnny is definitely a little bit weird, but in the best possible way. It's too bad that he doesn't like to watch himself on screen, because he's pretty great when he's up there.
