She is SO LUCKY that the Eagles only sold through their website and Wal-Mart. Otherwise their 700,000 cds would put them at #1 on the Billboard charts!

I think her cd will perform like her other cds, and drop very fast. Her last cd only sold 2 million, and this had 1/2 of the opening. I bet this cd doesn't surpass 2 million.

That's because the Eagles are actually a GREAT band... Of course they may be old or whatever but if you look at the people their gearing towards, of course their cd's going to outsell Britney's. The older generations buy their music, our generation downloads that sh*t for free.

Besides her new song, which is very catchy I must admit, her album stinks. I am very surprised people still support her and are buying her new album.

Actually, I even saw an ad for it on tv the other night... when was the last time anyone saw an ad for an album on tv? I sure can't remember. Just goes to show the record company are desperate because she won't get her lazy ass out there and promote it!

It is, I think that pic is from this weekend. And I'm not suprised at all actually! I bought it and its the first Brit CD I've ever purchased, so go figure. I guess I like her better now that she's a loser!

I like walmart..and I like it that the eagles were selling there,cuz the stuff is cheaper and when you are on a tight budget like me,it helps

It's not just the die hard fans that bought this. It's actually a good cd, and it's gotten good reviews. I own most of Britney's cds and this is my favorite.

I got the album. I really love it. And I don't buy an album by thinking if the artist deserve it or not.

Are the people who bought the CD for support or just out of curiosity? No offense to anybody, but I think the sales is just this big because of the positive and negatives that were surrounding it when she made her comeback.

I bought the album, too, and I love it. I went to Circuit City at about 8pm the day it was released and they were sold out, so I went to Target and they only had 2 copies left. Not surprised at all that it was number 1.

I bought some of the songs off of Itunes because they're good to work out to. But otherwise I could care less for the person who's sythesized on the tracks.

To put it in context, Carrie Underwood sold 527,000 copies last week of her new album last week to hit #1. That's over 60% more than Britney sold.

Jive scouted all the fall release dates to find a week where they stood a chance of being #1, because there is no way she would have hit this on the original release date, when Celine and Alicia also have albums coming out. She probably won't even be in the top ten by Thanksgiving.

The reviewers seem to like the album. Britney may be crazy, but apparently she put out a good club album.

I don't usually dream about celebrities or even care for them but last night I had an awful dream that Britney got really drugged up and killed herself in a hotel. I hope that isn't an indication of something to come.
