7While wearing a seatbelt can save your life and is most likely half of the reason why John is in the state he's in, the other half of the reason is Nick's driving. Period. This statement looks like they're trying to pass all the responsibility on John for not wearing one, it says the word seatbelt like 4 times!
8Finally Nick was arrested for this incident. I've read the family statement and I know they are just trying to support him but don't try to completely absolve him of responsibility.

18I can't believe the Hogan jerk is trying to place blame on the other kid for not wearing a seat belt. Yes, that is important but if he hadn't been DRUNK and SPEEDING he never would have crashed.

Mandy and Matt seems weird because of the Katie & Tom-esque age difference, and he's a crusty middle aged guy who has been through some rehab, which is a sharp contrast to her cute young clean cut image.
20I'm glad that Hogan boy was arrested for that accident. He doesn't even look fazed by any of it in his mug shot. Like he knows that his daddy's money will bail him out of this. People like him should be forced to learn their lesson, and almost killing his friend obvs didn't do it, if their public statement pretty much blames the John guy for not wearing a seat belt. Here's a hint, when the driver of the car you are in slams your seat into a tree, the seatbelt won't help much! Drinking, racing through streets, and off all things drifting, now that's just stupid.
21i'm not defending Nick Hogan because he should be punished but I doubt he was drunk with a BAC of .02. He was over the legal limit for a 17 year old which is 0, since he shouldn't have been drinking at all. Anyway, the statement is pretty bad, yikes.
22He's not being charged with drunk driving. He's being charged with reckless driving, the BAC being evidence of that.

24Im so happy he's finally arrested! The genius was drinking and driving and damn near killed someone. Pleas lock him up for a few years, just cus daddy is Hulk Hogan dont mean you can go around ruining ppl's lives.
