If you want to blame coloured stones on a trend, go back to Princess Diana...or better yet, go back in history because the clear diamond "trend" is newer than the coloured stone one.

The shape, the colour TACKY just like her, and I am surprised that somebody who grew up in France (Tony) has such bad taste! The ring looks plastic and she obviously got that dress to match the colour of her ring DESPERATE!

what color is it? under specific lighting sometimes colorless diamonds can look almost blue esp. if they are fluorescent

What I really find "tacky" is when women make fun of other women's engagement rings. All rings are beautiful in their own right -- as they are a gift from the heart and reflect the style of the couple.

azucar, thank you. i don't have a diamond, i'm not a diamond kind of girl. i wear an opal ring and i HATE it when people say it looks kind of "cheap" or that it doesn't mean as much since it's not a diamond. engagement rings are special to those who wear them, why would we make fun of a symbol of love and enthusiasm?

I'm not the biggest fan of colored stones, (although I do LOVE Heidi Klum's ring. It's one of my favs) But if they like it and it makes them happy than why not? Her dress looks pretty. I wish we could see a full view of it.

I love the shape, but I'm not into the colored stones myself. I'm with bluejeanie and azucar, though, in that all engagement rings are personal, so if it suites Eva, then that's the most important thing!
