John Krasinski got to play dress up in old-fashioned sports uniforms for the December issue of Men's Health. He looks adorable on the cover while in the photoshoot he makes us grateful that basketball players don't wear short shorts like these anymore. In the article John talks about staying fit, but we were more interested in him talking about George Clooney in Leatherheads and playing Jim on The Office. Here are some highlights:

  • On Clooney: "I told my friends that I challenged George — what a great way to break the ice with my director, right? They said, 'Dude, that guy plays two-on-two twice a day! He has his own court at Warner Brothers!' He just gave me that People's Sexiest Man Alive smile — it stuns you for a second — and that's all he needed. He beat me. I won't say by how much. I'd love a rematch now that my head's in the right space."
  • On his TV counterpart: "I think there's something really romantic about Jim. He's the guy you know. The man you might actually be, deep down. For good or bad, he's content. Sometimes that's a curse. But I've found you can be really successful and still be in love, or be successful and passionate about something, or be successful and play hoops every weekend with your buddies. That's the endgame, you know?"

John may have to wait a while before he hits Clooney's Manjoyment status, but in the meantime, we're hoping the writers strike will be over soon so we can continue to enjoy watching him on Thursday nights.
