Dina has been known to be right by LL's side when she goes out partying, but evidently now she is as worried about her daughter as we are. Lately Lindsay has been going to AA, but apparently it's not enough. Dina may have turned a blind eye in the past, but Lindsay's reported overdose and bizarre behavior has finally moved her to draw the line. And it's about time! She's flown out from the East Coast to make sure her daughter is okay. Here's more:
Dina Lohan tells American publication Star, "I'm out here for my child, but it's a really, really scary place for these kids out here, and a lot goes on. I needed to come see for myself this whole scene.
"(Lindsay) is my child and I'm here to make sure she's OK, and everything, and going in the right direction. I'm here to support her and keep an eye on this situation closely.
"She needed me to see what she sees everyday - her world."
Dina is desperate for her daughter to return to her roots on the East Coast adding, "I wish she would move back to New York. I want her out of here. The weather's beautiful. But these kids, it's just a dangerous place."
There's a huge party scene in NY as well, but at least Dina is acting like she is making an attempt to help her daughter. Hopefully Dina will put her foot down and keep it there instead of ending up on the dance floor with LL. Stay tuned, but in the meantime, check out more pics of LL out and about so read more

3I think it's really sad that it had to get to this point in LL's downward slide for her mother to finally intervene (or make the pretense of intervening).

8Dina probably went and partied that night with LL. I mean, hasn't she been riding on her daughter's coattails and partying right alongside her? LL is a done deal.....she needs to concentrate on that 12 year old of hers. Lindsay is an adult and can do what she wants.
9UGH!! I am so tired of LL and her mom! It would be a different story if there were people around her that actually seemed to be upset and heartbroken by her destructive behavior...I would feel for those people. But I just don't get the sense that any of her friends, family, publicist, etc even care about her drug/alcohol problem. If they don't care then neither do I. I'm starting to dislike her more than I dislike Paris.

25This girl makes me ill. Everything she does just shouts "look at me" The handcuffs are a joke. Talk about trying to prompt a reaction. Girl has enough money, but can't buy a clue. I just saw one of her movies on a plane, for lack of anything else to do...and girl can't act either, unless she's acting like herself. so dumb, so sad.
26I sometimes make snarky comments about her, but she's 20 years old and one of the most recognized faces in the world. When I was 20, I was so confused about who I was, and what I wanted out of life; I cannot imagine the pressure and confusion she must feel. And the fact that her mother pimps her out to party, it sort of reminds me of Drew Barrymore and her mom. It's a sad situation, and I really hope LL gets the help she needs.
Partying is one thing; dangerous drug use is quite another.
27i commend dina for allowing ll to f&%k up, letting your child slip is the best thing a parent can do cuz in the long run a good parent is going to be there to catch them...it has to be a hard position to be in when your daughter is the family bread winner and at anytime she can choose to never talk to you again, child stars "divorcing" their families does happen...as far as ll moving to ny i think it would be a good idea i mean she would be closer to her family and at the end of the day ny isnt as fake as la and hollywood so i guess the pressure to "fit in" is a lot less...here in nyc if we dont like you, we dont like you there is no friends one day and not the next its just differnt, a lot of the way young celbs act in la and hollywood would never fly in ny...i see dina's point when it comes to that.

28Dina and LL both need a good swift kick in the arse for their behavior and maybe it would help get them both to straighten up.
29Why does this girl get so many write ups? She can't even act! You can't compare her to someone as graceful, pretty , and talented as Scarlett Johanson or Natalie Portman. They are young too. I just don't see it...maybe I am blind...
