Jennifer Garner got bundled up to brave the NYC November weather after stopping by the Morning Show with Mike and Juliette yesterday. Winter has been rapidly approaching which means along with all the holiday fun comes sickness and sniffles. Always ready to lend a hand, Jen teamed up with other celebs yesterday to help spread the word about flu vaccines. Guess this means poor Violet probably got a shot of her own (ouch!) but we bet mommy Jen made it up to her with a play date in the park.

On the subject of flu vaccines..who gives you the shot when you go to a drug store? Just some random employee, or is it a trained member of the Red Cross or what? I want to get a flu vaccine, I just don't trust anyone to stick a needle in my arm.

10Jillness, the people at the stores that give the shots are Rn's (registered nurses). If anyone else was administering shots, it would be illegal. Ma's (medical assistants) aren't even supposed to give shots. I got my flu shot yesterday.
11Sometimes, boring can be good. Jen is a refreshing change from the usual allotment of jaded celebs we have around here.
12The one thing I always keep in mind is that flu shots should generally be reserved for those who fall into the risk categories or have a history of flu problems. Not just given out to anyone to asks. Every year everyone rushes in to get them even if they're not high risk, and those who need them end up without anything.
13I just made apointments for the whole fam to get thiers. I watched the show, and I think she looks great. I know alot of people think she is boring. I just think she is very wrapped up in her family, and I adore her for it. Jillness if you still feel anxious about getting the vaccination make an appt. with your family doctor.

21I do not like that she's promoting flu shots. They contain mercury, which accumulates in your body and healthy people should not be encouraged to get them.
