It must be fate, not just non-stop vacations, that keeps Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey together because the couple share a birthday — November 9 — just seven years apart. Earlier this week Vanessa paid a visit to the vet to have her cute pup Wookie's cast taken off. Then to belatedly celebrate their special day Nick and Vanessa partied with, oh, hundreds of their closest friends in Las Vegas at LAX nightclub on Wednesday. In a pre-party interview, Nick reflected on his year, saying, "2007 has been a rebuilding year for me… music, studio, learning things about who I am as a man... I think it’s exciting." Cute doggy, cute couple... seems like Vanessa and Nick have all the ingredients for a pretty great b-day.

10Especially around the hot tub incident, people talked a lot of trash about them. But they have been together for a long time, and really don't go after publicity. You don't see them on all the red carpets or going to every charity event where there will be a camera.
I actually think their relationship seems pretty genuine, and they seem like nice people so I wish them the best.

PS: My cousin was on the same pageantry circuit as Minnillo, in South Carolina, and she said that she's really, really nice and they still keep in touch!!!
17I like Jessica Simpson, but it's very obvious (especially now), that her and Nick Lachey are two very different people that wanted two very different things, that just happened to be in the same business. He's all about being the "guy next door" who watches football and drinks beers and goes camping and does his own laundry, Simpson is all about glamour, and while it worked on Green Acres, in reality...not so much.
18I don't think it's really fair to act like Nick doesn't do anything. He did make an album and do a tour. No star promotes an album constantly for years on end. I believe it's been less than a year since his last album and Vanessa did have a couple of jobs. So lets just keep it real here!

20Well if this is the rebound chick in his eyes, then I wish he'd hurry up with her, so he could be offered more in life. You can't think of new projects and songs to write when you travel and party ALL the time. And you cannot get your good name back as strong as it was, when you have a partner that doesn't care about bad titles above their heads...all they want is the title to get recognized.
Nick seems like a loving person that would try to keep all good things going in life. I would give Nick the world if I could, and stand back quietly in the shadows with a smile on my face, happy that he's happy and getting all the glory. But I would NOT be happy to be looking up at his partner that will eventually throw everything good away, or taint it. Then the people wouldn’t support Nick anymore because of her.
In other words, I think everything Nick tries to do from here on out will benefit his career. But the minute he has a bad title above his head again, at no fault of his own of course, then it will eventually decrease again. You know that's why so many people are against her. They don't like the couple thing, they don't Vanessa, but they try to like Nick no manner what she does to his good name. So I agree with a lot of you.

26I don't think Vanessa deserves all the critical comments. She dated Derek Jeter for about three years and he treated her terribly. I think Nick and Vanessa make a cute couple. According to the OK interview they complete each others sentences. They have a lot in common. Headlines aren't always true. they can make up what ever they want to.

35And by the way ya'll...I think posing for Playboy is a baaaad idea. A friend posted that news to me the other day. Angelina is on the front of the mag, but Vanessa a side liner. I thought it was a joke until she gave me a link to the magazine that wrote the story. It's actually on Pop under one of Angelina's postings (this weeks). I don't think posing in PB is needed at this point...or at any point.
36I really doubt Vanessa will pose in playboy. This was I believe a made up story in In Touch to boost readership. It's all speculation if you read the article.
37I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t actually read it. My friend just posted that too me, and then I saw the front of the magazine on the computer.
You know I honestly believe that this is just one of the many reasons why this female if not liked. We don’t know what to believe. BUT we can see photos and go by her quoted words. At least that’s what I go by when it comes to my feelings about their relationship. I never believe what I read as 100%. At least not coming out of California anyway.
