Well it looks like life goes on, at least for Pete. He was supposedly distraught over the mysterious death of a friend earlier this week who fell to his death soon after getting in a heated brawl with the singer. But it looks like Pete pulled himself together to make his modeling debut for cult fashion label Gio-Goi at a department store in London Thursday. Here's more:

Introduced by Paul Cook, former drummer of punk act The Sex Pistols, and sporting a brown T-shirt emblazoned "Gio-Goi," rocker Pete Doherty made his debut as the new face of the new label on Thursday.

True to his shambolic reputation, Doherty was more than an hour late, having apparently lost his way inside the store.

"Sorry for the delay, I was in the specialities department," Doherty told the waiting crowd, before whipping off a 30 minute set that showcased his new single "The Blinding."

The ex-Libertines singer...helped design a range of T-shirts emblazoned with the words "Drug Free" and "Too Much Rock and Roll."

"We believe Pete is a modern day icon. We got rock and roll vibes at Gio-Goi. So it's a match made in heaven," Gio-Goi co-founder Chris Donnelly [said].

Pete was just voted Most Undeserving Icon, so I guess he technically is a modern icon. Still, the t-shirts don't seem very original to us. So hopefully this is as far as Pete will venture into the fashion world.
