She has had that coat for awhile hasn't she? She was always wearing that coat or one similar in previous episodes and no one said anything. Now a days, there a replicas of fur too, is it even the real thing? I don't know if this is absolutly discourage someone from going to see the movie.

i hope it is not real fur. she seems like a responsible sort in recent years.

FYI, Carrie has been wearing this particular fur since the 1st season of the show. So it's not like the wardrobe dept put her in fur just b/c they could. It's a vintage Carrie piece.

It is disappointing that fur is part of Carrie's wardrobe, but I'll still see the movie.

I'm against fur but I have a feeling it's not real so it won't change my mind about seeing the movie.

I realize it is hard to accept that you are no longer the fresh face 25 year old... but someone in that makeup trailer should have forced her to update her look. Her makeup has been horrible in all the pictures from the set.

Where as the other girls look so fabulous! Great clothes... good haircuts... Carrie just looks so old and dated... in ugly clothes.

What does it matter if it is fur? When I'm freezing, fur is the only thing guaranteed to keep me warm. Knowing Patricia Field, she's using vintage fur.

If it is real fur, perhaps it was taken from an animal that was already deceased? What would the harm be in that?

Either way, it won't discourage me from seeing the movie.

FYI, fur coats are never made from already deceased animals.

I've only seen bits and parts of different seasons, so I didn't know she wore fur in the series, I definitely won't see the movie if it's real.

And as far as real fur being warm, when I ski, I wear a ski jacket, they are nice and warm too and made entirely of synthetic materials!

It would just be nice if Carrie could promote fashion without promoting cruelty, definitely the ugliest thing she has worn yet.

Sadly it DOES put me off seeing the movie. Thats so cruel & even if its is vintage, its promoting fur as being 'cool' which it is definately not.
