It looks like Star Jones was scared off by Rosie. We were so looking forward to the cat-fight between these two but it looks like it won't ever happen. Star supposedly wanted to score her own show but there were no takers. I wonder where she'll end up. Access Hollywood reports:
Star Jones Reynolds will announce her departure from "The View" this week, Access Hollywood learned.
A source close to "The View" told Access Monday that Star Jones Reynolds will leave "The View" in July and will announce the departure on the show this week.
As a result, the much discussed face-off between Star and incoming co-host, Rosie O'Donnell, will never occur.

8I'm not surprised either. I can't imagine Star Jones wanting to match wits with Rosie. Star is full of herself. I mean, as a woman of color, I'm proud of her accomplishments, but honestly, there isn't one humble bone in her body. I like accomplished people who can be gracious about it, you know?

That woman will fade into obsurity and her husband will leave her now that she's about to become a nobody. The View is the only thing she's got going for her. I certainly won't miss her on the show, but I really was looking forward to the sparks that surely would have flown if she had stuck around for Rosie.

19The beginning of the show where they all chat is the only part of the show I watch. I have to admit when Star talks about legal issues and how the law works, I enjoy listening to her. But when she goes on about her husband or her dog or her book ARGH!!! Just shoot me!

32Sorry all you Rosie fans, but she is just a big, overly vocal beast who enjoys speaking for reaction in hopes of pissing everyone off ... I don't care for her ... I'm all for the civil gay rights movement, but man, she is just way too loud and extreme about issues ... Gun control, animal rights, straight people who she thinks are gay and need to come out ... It's annoying.
33She was great on surivor. She made it to the last 3 contestants and she played a very considerate, thoughtful and compassion person towards all the other team players- a trait not expressed often in Survivor. I think she has a huge heart, I just really like her for that ... The way to get to me is being a nice person
I love celebrities that are real, down-to-earth and show compassion.
34I feel bad for Star. Look what a mess her life is, and YES, it's all her own doing but my God now what will she do? She had so much plastic surgery she looks freakish, she had a gastric bypass so now she'll have life long stomach issues, she married Big Gay Al and now she has no job. It just seems sad to me. 36I'll take Star over Rosie any day, but I'd rather have neither. Rosie bothers me so much. It's funny that she has time to write rhyming blogs about other people's weight loss and alleged weight (Kirstie, Star, etc). If she spent more time walking and less time blogging, perhaps she wouldn't be the poster child for the happily plump. There's nothing wrong with being larger as long as you're healthy. It's hard for me to believe that she likes her weight if she's constantly picking on other people's.

45I don't watch The View, so I can't say anything about it, but I do feel bad for Star. Sure, she's definitely a diva, but after she loses all this weight (cough gastric bypass cough) and gains a little more self-respect, she's leaving her show. Worse yet, she wants to continue with her job but can't find anyone that wants to air her show. I gotta say I feel sorry for her, but then again I don't watch The View so I don't really know how she acts.
