I don't like her... I saw her in concert a few years ago when she wasn't a cop out. She was ok then.. I think she smiled once at the concert. But, I did get her guitar pick, and I got to meet her. She was ok. Not too happy at that moment.

To be honest, I don't care what she does.

I don’t know why they expect celebrities to walk around with smile frozen on their faces. They have the right to privacy just like everyone else. I don’t care if they are famous for something. Celebrities are people too. Not all of them call the paps and tell them where they will be going, so they can have their photo taken. Not all celebs want to be “out front” when they are off the studio set.

Photographers can get on my nerves just as much as some of these wanna be celebrities, that know dam* well their 15 minuts of fame is already up. But they continue to do foul / stupid things to get their photos taken anyway, just to extent their annoying time, for us, in the media.

I don't think it is fair to slam someone cause they would like to go do some simple shopping without a harassing, scene provoking, assh*le following them with a camera.

It is one thing to be at a event and promoting your product. But to be a girl, just trying to do your own personal shopping, I would be in a constant state knowing there was some weird crazy guy stalking me with a friggin camera. Ugh.

I think that they knew what was going to happen once they became famous so you cannot complain after all, it´s true that they´re humans and all this stuff, but c´mon, fame and money and no disadvantages?, every job has issues, mine has too and I don´t earn a quarter of what she earns

I love her dolled up image, but it must be seriously hard to keep that up all the time... and it makes you wonder if they only publish the grumpy photos to keep that image up. It's all one big story in the gossip mags.

She seems to really hate them with a passion (even more than most celebs). When she does acknowledge them, it's really negative and mean.... like when she spit on that one photog and called him a b*tch. She most likely figured out to just ignore them all together... which is better.

Although it must be annoying, she knew what she was getting into; camera's are going to follow you. Be a good sport, offer them a chance to tke your photo if they can give you some time of peace that day; make them a deal than they won't be so hungry for a pic.

I voted 'no'. It'd be a sh*t to have to walk around doing your daily chores like shopping with a smile plastered on your face. People would think you were a nutter if you did that.

Wiciltd, I agree with you, but I'm forming my opinion purely based on her demeanor as an artist & how she portrays herself in interviews, not just from this one picture (I'm sure people aren't just judging her off of this one set of photos). She's never happy and doesn't seem grateful for anything. I'm not sure if ANYONE is a fan of Avril's attitude.

its one thing when you act annoyed at papz taking your picture when you're out running errands....but she has that same pissy pouty attitude when she's singing as well.

there are things that just come with the career she's chosen for herself. you don't have to be fakey smiley when you're shopping, but when you're performing or doing an interview for your chosen profession, crack a smile and act like you actually enjoy your craft.

Maybe she hates her name, she should be grateful people want to take pictures of her and she has a job that she loves doing and gets paid great for doing it, everything comes with a price, but, smiling is free. She should enjoy life and not worry about who's taking pictures of her, those photogapher's probably hate their job and hate taking picture's of people who are nasty to them, who wants to be spit on and called names for doing their job.

I agree that artists shouldn't have their private life invaded like this, but the thing with Avril is that she looks like this all the time. She is too conceited for someone who got famous with an album she didn't even write, at the same claiming she was better than the other pop artists at the time and she was real artist. Her last album is proof that she's not a "punk rocker" but yet some puppet who'll do whatever sells more records even if it's utter crap. All this to say that she always looks bored, she always looks like she's doing everyone a favor by letting them be in her presence, be it on tv, in concert, or in these candids. I think she believes she's the best thing since bread came sliced and she comes off as arrogant, which is ok if you're really THAT good, but she really isn't. Every time I see her annoyed expression I feel like telling her "get over yourself!".
