We love that Kate loves her curves and promotes a healthy body image for ladies around the world. Not only is she acting like a fabulous role model for women, but for her own daughter as well. Here's more:

"It's so disturbing because young girls are impressionable from 11 up to 19 or 20 even. Women are very impressionable at those ages," Winslet told British Broadcasting Corp. television's "Sunday AM" program.
"They're trying to figure out who they are, and they want to be loved, and what I resent is that there is an image of perfection that is getting thinner and thinner, and it's truly upsetting to me."
The British actress said she refuses to allow any magazines featuring rake-thin models into her house for fear her daughter, Mia, will see them.
"It's only a matter of time before she becomes aware of it, and it frightens the life out of me," said Winslet, who is married to director Sam Mendes.
Winslet said she hoped her success will be an inspiration to others.
"I hope that in some small way I'm able to say, 'I'm a normal person, I'm doing all right.' I've got a lovely husband and children and I didn't lose weight to find those things, and those things are what should be important."
We couldn't agree with Kate more. We hope the super skinny starlet look fades fast. Kate is a perfect example of a talented, beautiful actress who isn't starving for food or attention. Perhaps that is the real secret to her success. For more pics of Kate looking beautiful and healthy just read more

I will love Kate forever!
1I love her but I am not liking this dress
2it does nothing for her figure
3Kate, I'm disturbed too.
4Love her.. and The Holiday with her and Cameron is a really good movie. Quite surprised by it.
5I love her.. and her healthy body image. The dress is interesting!______________________________________________________
6I believe in the power of BAMZS
Dress is gorgeous. However I can't see her face because of the shine coming from her forehead.
7She looks magnificent. She's an excellent example of someone who is at a healthy weight, secure with herself and looks stylish all at once.
"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
8katgoddess, her face is shiny, i agree..
i like her a lot
9Okay, first of all, why do people always say she is "curvy"? From the looks of it, she is just as thin as that picture of Renee Zellwegger that was posted a little while ago? She does look healthy, but she is still much thinner than the average woman. Secondly, does she think that super skinny models and actresses are only in fashion magazines? I grew up in a household where there were never any fashion magazines around, and yet I still feel like I am in someway inadequate because I'm not a size 2. I think that the perception that that type of body image is "normal" or the only form of body that is acceptable is everywhere in our culture, it's on TV, billboards, in shopping malls, everywhere.

she looks very healthy. i don't think she's that much thinner than the average woman.
11I like her and I love that she is setting a positive example for her daughter. I already commented on someone elses personal blog about this. I'll spare you all and not repeat it again on here.
12I'M ORDERING PIZZA!!!
13that is a strnge dress! I'm glad she says these things in publications b/c I know we all talk about it here & I always talk about it w/ my friends but it is great to have a respected actress say it too.
14I don't think she looks thinner than the average woman
Love her*
15I have always loved Kate. She is pretty.

Brad is so hot!
Stick figure skinny girls are disgusting....how much longer until we can change women from feeling they need to look and be anorexic??? Being overweight isn't healthy either though..people need to embrace the healthy balance.
17Kate is a gorgeous woman. She is a good actress.

Makes my skin crawl
Why is it okay to call really thin girls disgusting but, if someone calls a really overweight person disgusting..all h*ll breaks loose. I wouldn't call anybody disgusting based on their weight..I'm getting really sick of seeing, and hearing these comments.
19Good point BeachBarbie. Thanks.
20BlondeSugar, thanks for being supportive, and understanding about this issue...I've always wondered about that question.
21I am sensitive on the subject too.
22beach, i understand what you are saying compeltely and i do agree with you. this is such a touchy subject. *sigh*
23i totally agree beachbarbie! i have always been very thin and gotten a lot of crap about it. on turkey day, my hubby's mom told me that i was looking skinnier than usual. i explained to her that i eat a lot (usually more than her son) and i have always been thin and i used to be even smaller. she said, "as long as you aren't purposefully not eating to be small". i am 5'8" and 120-125lbs. she hardly knows me and said this!!!... it makes me angry. i shouldn't feel i have to defend myself when i am perfectly healthy. i would not tell someone "you are looking fatter than usual!"
24jgasia, that s*cks. I'm sorry to hear that your mother-in-law said those things. You can't help your genes, you know? lol I eat more than my hubby too, and I've also been really tiny my whole life. Right now, I'm working on putting on weight because, I want to be at my normal weight again (I got really stressed out, and the weight fell off). But, when my mother-in-law saw me this past Nov., she was nice but, the entire conversation revolved around weight. I got really tired of it so, I just stopped spending so much time with everyone on that visit..you have to take care of yourself. I feel like, as long as I'm healthy and my doctor is okay..I'm fine. It helps the anxiety, and stress of gaining weight...I'm finally adding on some pounds now that the people I'm around have backed off the subject.
25bluejeanie, thanks...I just saw your comment.
26That's horrible jgasia. My grandmother who was bulemic and hasn't had sugar in over 30 years told me over Thanksgiving that I look MUCH better than I did on Mother's day, bc I lost some extra weight. I am 126lbs, 5'10". But this is also a woman who called my 5 pound dog FAT.
27BlondeSugar, I can't believe she commented on your dog.
I actually used to get comments on how
skinny my dog was.."do you feed her?". Our dog is spoiled rotten, and her food bowl is always full 24/7. She just gained weight later on in life. She just has skinny genes. Those comments
infuriated me..like I wasn't being a good Mom, or something.
Btw., Sam and Lola look very healthy, and happy.
28Wow, BeachBarbie. That's so rude. SO SO SO rude. Our pups are very healthy, as I'm sure yours are.
29BlondeSugar, don't listen to what your Grandmother says about your weight, or your dog's for that matter. Just keep being healthy..that's the whole point, and I know..you know that.
30Don't worry BeachBarbie, I don't. She has serious body image issues. And has had them for a long time.
31BlondeSugar, I didn't figure you did listen to her but, I just had to comment. Yeah my dog has always been healthy..she just looked a little thin to some people (when she was younger). The vet has always been very pleased with her weight, even now.
32she is pretty thin too, I mean , if you are talking about Nicole R. or Kate Bosworth, that is one thing, but nobody thinks they look that great.
I love Kate, but I honestly do not think she is one to talk on this subject. I saw her in person , and she is very thin as well.
33i have gotten the dog comment, too! so strange! thanks for the support, BB and BS
34Jgasia, I think people who are commenting on the dog have deeper issues, you know. Stinks.
35BlondeSugar & jgasie, I wish some people knew what we where talking about..now it's weird looking. Great, and the point will never be noticed.
36I saw The Holiday and also Little Children. It struck me during both movies that Kate has a little extra on her that many Hollywood actresses would be killing themselves to take off. She looks good, healthy, womanly. Normal. Not the ridiculous American average size 14-16, but just shapely... and very nice. I love that she's not trying to diet away her blessings!
BeachBarbie, maybe your mother-in-law is just jealous of your abiliy to eat what you want and stay thin. I think that women who are naturally thin look fine. Hey, if you're thin, you're thin. I wish I was that way naturally! I have to work at staying normal. But, I also think that it does look really bad to see a normal sized person who has over-dieted. It does NOT look the same as healthy person who is naturally thin!
37Her shiny face scares me too!
