I like Gwyneth, looks like a smart and beautiful lady ,besides that her spanish is amazingly PERFECT, she has no american accent and only spent two summers in Spain during a student exchange I guess if she could give some classes to the moron named Penelope Cruz who seems to be unable to learn proper english even after have spent a lot of years in the States

well actually rachaelnexus, english is one of the hardest languages to learn. it's all those different verb tenses people have to learn for example. so for someone who is an adult, like penelope cruz is, that can't speak proper english is not surprising. for her to want to learn the language at her age is actually respectable.

and as for spanish, it isn't that hard to learn. it's one of the easiest languages to pick up. spanish's verb tenses is limited to less than five, i think, while english has more than 5 kind of tenses.

as a learner of both english and spanish, i think you should take classes in linguistic so you would be more broad-minded when it comes to people trying to learn different languages. i'm just saying, this coming from someone who speaks five different languages. not that i'm bragging.

you go pinkberry! and yes, english can be easy or hard to learn. depending on what language you use a lot at home. i know foreigners who speak good english but can barely be understood because of thick accents. it's not something easy to be rid of.

I´m sorry but there are more than 5 verbal tenses in spanish: 10 in the Indicative form, 6 in the subjuntive form and 2 in the imperative form, verbs are fairly the most difficult thing to learn when it comes to spanish together with the use of written accents ,I suggest you to check your linguistic notes maybe you lost some verbal tenses between classes ,this year i hope to get my advance degree in english and i´m only a year younger than Penelope so at that age you can study languages with no problems,and even more if you have the chance to get the best dialogue coaches and practise with native speakers day by day

i already knew two different languages before speaking english that's because i learned it when i was in grade school and went to an english-speaking school and had friends who only speaks english so i had to pick it up real quick. when you are younger it's easier to learn foreign languages than when you are an adult.

i think people are so ignorant to say others can't learned a language while others can. let's give them the benefit of the doubt, for example penelope cruz probably speaks english on movie sets and in interviews but other than that spanish is her main langauge.

just because a petite, blond-haired, blue-eyed girl knows spanish is nothing to be all oohh ahhh-ing about. when gwenyth masters the feat of learning five different languages will talk.

also to end my lovely rant, ms. penelope cruz speaks Spanish, English, French, and Italian. so bettah recognize who you dissin'.

About the languages, Spanish is my mother language and I've learned English since I was a little girl; I can tell you that not everybody has the same facility to learn a language. So it doesn't matter what language has more verbal tenses, you don't need to give us a lesson of Spanish Language.

wow, the discussion has gotten serious about languages. i speak 3 languages, not so good on the third one but very fluent on 2. and yes, speaking and learning a different language can be nosebleed. so im with you guys about the comments rachaelnexus made. it was just not fitting comment.
