Actually musiclrv244, a few drinks (holiday or not!) is a big deal when you're a recovering alcoholic or addict. I've been sober now going on 15 years and am very active in AA. This qualifies me to know almost everything there is to know about our disease. Just because one drug may not have been our drug of choice doesn't give us license to use it. The term clean and sober really means clean and sober. To dabble in any mind altering substance jeapordizes are sobriety.

Take it from me alcoholics should not drink any alcohol. a couple of drinks leads to a couple dozen. Both of my parents were/are alcoholics. It's not pretty.

Jillness-I agree, It always makes her face look dicolored. Some people just should not wear bronzers and makeup of that sort. I am one of those poeple. I am very fair skinned (as is Lindsay, naturally) and I look like a lepor if I wear that stuff.

I can understand the "drinking not being a problem" though. I used to be really big into that whole party scene...drugs, alcohol, sex..the whole nine yards. I literally woke up one day and decided that it wasnt right for me, and I had to grow up. I stopped going to clubs, I dropped alot of my friends, and most importantly I quit doing all those hard drugs. None of that means I cant control myself enough to walk into a bar and have a few drinks without getting completely f-ed up. I think if Lindsay is really serious about not doing the drugs then yes, she will be able to have a few drinks and it will be ok.

A 3-time rehabber OBVIOUSLY can't have a few drinks...Lilo will be screwing up again by New Year's Eve.

In response to my comment above---this only applies if Lindsay truely didnt have a problem with alcohol. I never would have considered myself and alcoholic, a drug addict..yes. But not an Alcoholic. I dont know what Lindsays situation is, or who you can believe, but if what they are saying is true about her never having a real problem with alcohol (only with drugs) then I stand my first comment.

i think most people in their early 20's have a drinking problem. its about self control and you just don't have it at 20, 21, 22.

Well, she doesn't look as bad... Maybe it's because the camera flashes were so bright, so it kind of washed her out a litttttttttle bit.

She admitted she was addicted to drugs AND alcohol. It's not about someone who might previously have drunk a lot while partying deciding not to have that lifestyle anymore. it's about someone who has a serious problem. If she's drinking again then she is probably only going to fall further.
