Well, it took me a lot quicker than I thought to go from thinking Javier Bardem was creepy beyond words after seeing No Country to cute again trying to look covert with Penelope Cruz in NYC last night. While we've seen them being giddy and lovey, this couple enjoys their privacy and lucky for them they've got security on their side. On Tuesday night they went out to Socialista in Manhattan with Josh Brolin and when the owner of the establishment noticed the paparazzi swarming the stars, he called the cops and forced the photographers to surrender their memory cards to Penelope and Javier. Hey, well if Penny and Javi wanted any of the photos for their personal collections, how convenient.

5I don't necessarily agree with this whole 'memory card' thing. So, yah the paps trespassed which is illegal, but theft of equipment is just as bad. And when celebs smash these photogs expensive cameras how come they never get in trouble??

12I totally agree with you guys. Making them give up their memory cards is a little outrageous. They're not necessarily cheap things, ya know?
13A photographer can only be required to surrender their film/cards with a court-issued search warrant. If you're a photographer of any kind, I recommend carrying a copy of this http://www.krages.com/phoright.htm in your bag for just these kinds of occasions!
