As 2008 inches closer, the celebrity lists of 2007 just keep on coming. The numbers are in and Reese Witherspoon was the top earning actress of the past year, with Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz right behind her. Nicole Kidman dropped from #1 down to #4 and Renée Zellweger rounded out the top five, dropping two spots from last year. Reese's latest movie Rendition wasn't exactly a blockbuster, but she's still raking in a huge $15–$20 million per film. Looks like this was a great year for Reese in both her career and her personal life.

43When Julia makes big budget movies she gets between 20 and 25 million a movie. Julia is the ONLY one on this list who has ACTUALLY gotten 25 million for one movie. I don't understand this list.

uh what are you people talking about? A few of you said what is Jodie doing there? Uh Jodie foster should be number one. she's the only actress that can open a movie number one every time. She just doesn't work that much anymore. But Panic Room Flightplan inside Man grossed big because of her name. The Brave One got terrible reviews and still opened number one. These other actresses like Reeese Witherspoon Halle Berry and especially overpaid Nicole Kidman can't have that power. Jodie rocks. The other actresses on this list i don't care for. The likes of Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet are so talented but just not box office draws. Foster however is a talented two time Oscar winner and continues to be a top draw in her 40s.
