it comes with the territory. she's a celeb and she has been for a long time, so she should know how mean tabloids can be. she's been used to being praised for her pretty face and thin figure, but now the tables have turned and it must feel like hell :[ pooor her. think how bad it is for even more popular celebs like britney who get trashed constantly...

I guess Im "proud" of her for speaking up. I just wish she actually meant what she said. You cant tell people you dont care what they think of your body, and tell young girls that they should be comfortable with themselves, and then the next day go out on the beach wrapped up in a towel. Its a bit hyporcritical. If she really meant what she said she would have kept on splashing around in her bikini.

I'd put on a towel too if people were following me around with cameras only to call me fat. She has no reason to cover up - I think she has a way better body than half the people I see on the beach letting it all hang out.
Oh well - if she was doing this for attention - it worked!

I think its great that she spoke up but I just find it funny how now shes all covering herself up. It could be coincidence but Im sure its hard to feel completly confident in yourself when people are scrutinizing your appearance. I think she should walk proud for being a normal woman.

DeaconP- I would would to. Im just sayin she shouldnt sit there and tell everyone how confident she is, and how she loves her body and doesnt care if she has a big butt. She should tell girls "put on your bikinis and be proud" if the next day she is going to walk around all covered it. What kind of message does THAT send to all those girls that she was just telling to be proud of their curves?

I can't imagine how it would feel to have cameras following you around with your swimsuit on. I feel paranoid enough already in my swimsuit. Sometimes I actually feel good though and then of course, the paparazzi would then decide to take pics and make fun of me if I was famous. How horrible. I think it is wonderful she is engaged and she is a normal woman. How many of us actually look like Jessica Alba in our swimsuits? Not very many.

Regardless of the terrible criticism she's received from the media, she looks fantastic here. Gah, I can't believe she has to go through all of this on her engagement vacation

Seriously, the poor woman is now wrapped up in a towel and you're still putting her pictures up. I think the one story yesterday was enough, no need to keep staying on vacation with them.

Well, I'm very sorry that negative comments in the media have affected her so. But, on her site she states that she is a proud size 2. So, while I don't want her to feel badly about her body I have to disagree with the size 2 comment on her site. There is nothing wrong with being a size 8 or 10 or 12! Just be healthy and if you are healthy at size 10, be happy at size 10.

Well, the guy's board shorts look wet, so its kind of a wild guess, but I thinking she has a towel on because she just got out of the water! Call me nuts, but thats what I'm going with. I don't think this photo makes her previous statements hypocritical at all!

I don't understand why people believe celebs have to continue performing for us in their personal lives. The only reason we see so many pictures of them is because of the advent of celeb blogs other than that we wouldn't know much about their daily lives.

I kept reading on the other board that she deserves the criticism because she's a celeb and she makes her living using her body so this is what she gets, but I disagree. She's not selling a damn thing to me on her vacation. What we are looking at IMO is her time off which she has a right to and if she wants to gain weight, whatever, in her personal life she can. I really don't have a right to intrude IMO. It'd be a different story if she was modeling in some ad and got the same scrutiny, the way Britney Spears did when she was performing. Britney should have been in better shape, she was on stage, selling a show.

I just don't think some people get that being a celeb is a job and outside of that these stars are real people with real lives that have nothing to do with us.

She's probably covering up because photogs are there with the intent to take the most unflattering picture. Even the most perfect person can take an ugly photo with the right angle and lighting.

I also feel like, to play devils advocate, there are more private places a celebrity can go and if a celebrity wants to be left alone, there are definitely ways. so many celebs complain, yet the next day you see them at kitson where they KNOW the paps will be. there are plenty of celebs more famous than JLH probably on vacation as we speak. I can recall atleast 2 or 3 times in recent history where JLH has been shopping on robertson blvd or whatever that street is where the paps always are. so i feel like she is asking for it.

she's not a size 2. I hate it when famous people think we the public are so gullible that we will believe anything they say. They make millions off of us and they they insult our intelligence. She's wider than her boyfriend for pete's sake. Can her boyfriend fit into a size 2? I think not. Her mother is/was a very large woman years ago and so are several women in her family (very bottom heavy). It's hereditary for her body to start spreading. If she's this sensitive about what people are saying about her gaining some weight, she obviously doesn't have the skin for hollywood because she needs to get a little thicker skin if she still wants this to be her career. I would hate to see how she's gonna act if and when she gets pregnant. I think it was totally absurd for her to make a statement about this, it's obvious that she's trying to keep people interested in her when she's totally lost most of her appeal.

She's a hypocrite because she makes it sound like there shouldn't be a focus on women's bodies, but back when everyone was only commenting on her big boobs, she never had a problem with it. In fact, it seemed like she welcomed the comments, and seemed to be proud of her body. If she worked out, and maintained a healthy diet, she could still look the way she used to. She has let herself go, and instead of using the comments as motivation to get herself back in shape, she goes on her blog to defend her body as though we really believe she wants to look like that, and that she's happy with her current body. Yeah, whatever. And by the way, it's possible she's a size 2 because clothing companies are constantly changing their sizes, and now with the size double zero, a size 2 is actually like a size 6 was years ago. All of you that think you're still the same size that you were in high school- you're not. The stores just keep changing the sizes to fool you into buying clothes.

Hearing a lot about Jennifer Love Hewitt lately..it's kinda weird!

People really need to leave her alone. I admit that when I first saw the photos I was shocked. We're so used to seeing celebrities that have unnatural bodies due to airbrushing, working with a personal trainer for 15 hours a week, etc. She might have more butt and hips than other celebrities, but I do believe that it's possible that she's still a small clothing size. I've seen her in person, and although it was about five years ago, I doubt her body has changed that dramatically(or else we'd know all about it like Kirstie Alley, Nicole Richie, or Star Jones, so I think that's safe to assume), and she was VERY small.

Please stop saying nasty things about her.
