When Nicole got arrested this week she admitted to taking Vicodin before getting behind the wheel. Now she's revealing that the reason she was popping pills was because she gets really bad cramps. So is this the reason she was smoking pot too? She's also upset that the world now thinks she weighs 85 pounds. US Weekly reports:
"She knows she made a mistake, but overall she's in a better place," says a close friend of Richie. "She has come a long way from her heroin days."
The celebutante is said to be upset over media reports that she's addicted to pills, and is insisting to friends that she only "occasionally" takes Vicodin once a month at the start of her menstruation cycle.
Richie is also unhappy that California cops listed her weight at 85 pounds on the police report because "she's so proud of her weight gain," says the source, who adds that Richie has gained about ten pounds in the last two months and actually weighs around 95 pounds. "She doesn't know where the cops came up with 85 pounds and it's annoying to her."
Joel Madden, you know, Hilary Duff's ex has moved on quickly with Nicole. Page Six reports that he has even become her "emergency contact person" in their relationship. Not so sure Nicole should be jumping into a relationship right now especially a serious one. Let's just hope she gets healthy again.

Um, from the normal scale at the station, not the one you have at home that's all tricked out so that it will tell you that you weigh ten more pounds than you actually do. This is so wrong. She should not haveb been driving. However I know I'm going to get in trouble for saying this but I understand taking Vicodent during the first days of your period. My dear friend takes them because she gets Violent cramps and her doctor prescribed them. However he only gives her a small dose. That still doesn't excuse her behavior.
34I take vicodin for my cramps, that doesn't make me an addict. I have tried midol and advil and all the other over the counter pain meds. My doctor decided to give me vicodin... Please be informed. I don't agree that she was driving but the fact is that vicodin is used as a way to help with severe cramps.
And unless she started smoking pot yesterday, i believe that you could drive after you smoke... but that's just my view.
I don't think pot should be up there with the heavy drugs.
35I have endometriosis, and so I have to take my birth control pill every single day (instead of taking a week off to have a period like normal). If I even take my pill a few hours later than normal, I have the WORST cramps ever. I have taken Vicodin and Lortab for them. Hydrodone is the ONLY thing that helps them. I cannot, however, explain the marijuana. Never done it. Who knows... maybe it does help.

37marijuana does help with cramps, but i would never, ever drive under the influence of it. i took vicodin after sugery once, and i was so out of it i could barely walk. i don't care what people do recreationally, but endangering others is not cool. i heard she on the way to her new b/f's (joel madden)house. high or not, someone was determined to get some booty! lol

The drugs.. vicodin is not for cramps unless you're visiting Dr. Feelgood. Her cramps excuse is pretty creative, normally it's for 'back pain'. Just like only stars get hospitalized for "Exhaustion."
42I take pain killers (prescription ones) for things like that, because I'm allergic to motrin and advil and all that normal good stuff, but my doctor prescribes a dose that's like, 1/4 of what the normal dose is, and I would never drive when I take it, but they don't affect you enough to drive the wrong way on the highway. That girl was on something stronger!

some girls get really sick EVERY period. i know this because i am one of them who always misses work/school/social stuff because i am barfing and/or passing out from the pain and can't get out of bed for 2 days.
regulars meds [ex: "advil" *rolls eyes* ]do NOTHING for girls with bad cramps. if you have bad cramps/ endometriosis you know believe me.
[it is not uncommon to have to take morphine shots, vicodin etc...for BAD CRAMPS]

49I don't think anyone said really skinny girls don't get periods. But Nicole is 85 pounds....that is beyond really skinny.
