Katherine Heigl showed off her modeling skills [1] in the January issue of Vanity Fair [2]. She's got that old Hollywood glamor down pat, but we guess she already had some practice at the Emmys [3]. So what does one of Hollywood's most popular stars [4] have to say for herself? A little on movies, a little on TV, and a lot on Josh. Plus, she's not so happy with some of her characters lately. Here are highlights [5]:
[5]
- On Knocked Up [6]: "It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. It exaggerated the characters, and I had a hard time with it, on some days. I’m playing such a bitch; why is she being such a killjoy? Why is this how you’re portraying women? Ninety-eight percent of the time it was an amazing experience, but it was hard for me to love the movie.”

- On her fiance Josh Kelley: “I’m not really a first-move kind of gal,” she says. “I’m one of those women who always thinks it’s better to play it cool and keep them wanting more, but I really threw myself at him. I broke all the rules.”
- On George and Izzie on Grey's Anatomy [7]: “That was kind of a big change for Izzie, wasn’t it, after she was so up on her moral high ground. They really hurt somebody, and they didn’t seem to be taking a lot of responsibility for it. I have a really hard time with that kind of thing. I’m maybe a little too black-and-white about it. I don’t really know Izzie very well right now. She’s changed a lot. I’m trying to figure her out and keep her real.”
While we kind of agree with Katherine (especially about changing up Izzie's character), she sounds a little bit whiny. About Knocked Up [8], Buzz wants to know how you feel about her statement — do you think Knocked Up is sexist? [9]
