No wonder her family hates her. Tori is using Daddy's death to get on the cover of US Weekly. Apparently she is devastated she found out about Aaron's passing via BlackBerry while she was in Toronto. However, apparently his horrible stroke was not enough to bring her home to him in the first place. US Weekly reports:
On the night of June 23, Tori Spelling sat in Betty’s restaurant in Toronto, Canada, when she received the heartbreaking news via BlackBerry that her father, legendary producer, Aaron, had passed away: “A friend of mine had seen a TV report and e-mailed me, ‘I’m so sorry. I just heard your father died.’ And I was just in total shock,” Tori tells Us. Her sorrow quickly turned to anger.
“My first thought was, I can’t believe my mom didn’t call me!” Actually, it wasn’t a total surprise since Tori, 33, and her mom, Candy have been in a longstanding feud. Because of the estrangement, the self-proclaimed daddy’s girl had only seen her 83-year-old father – whose health had been failing for months – on one occasion since last September. And that tearful visit, at the urging of her brother, Randy, 27 (also an actor), was on June 11, just two weeks before Aaron Spelling died.

TORI Spelling told People she had a "reconciliation" with her TV mogul-dad Aaron just before the stroke that led to his death. But Canadian gossip Shinan Govani says the claim seems odd because the blond heiress-actress had been in Toronto all week "doing nonstop media for her reality show, picking more fights with [her husband's ex-wife] Mary Jo Eustace, and was spied here until at least Friday afternoon." Aaron died Friday night. Among the places Tori was seen was at a local Starbucks, a popular pub called Betty's, and the Four Seasons Hotel.

6I thought they fell out when she married her recent husband. I heard her family would not give her the big white wedding the second time around because they had only a few months before given her the big white wedding to her first husband.

36I cannot sympathize with her at all. In fact, the story makes me furious. My grandparents, whom I loved dearly, passed away within months of each other last year. My abuelo from a heart attack, and my abuela from a coma she slipped into because of an accidental overdosage. I was unable to say goodbye to either one of them, because I had no money and no sitter, and none of the privileges and wealth Tori has. It still pains me to think that when I go back to my country, they won't be there. Tori is a heartless witch for not rushing and remaining by her father's side when she knew he was ill. She should hang her head in shame.

45I think the entire story is just pathetic!! I feel for anyone who loses a loved one, but something is wrong with that entire family. I can't imagine anything that would cause a daughter to not to visit her father after a serious stroke. Nor can I imagine a mother not rise above that garbage long enough to call her daughter and tell her the news. There is no winner in this situation; they both should be humiliated by their actions. I hope someday they realize just how short life is and you only have one family. However, based on what I'm reading, I wouldn't hold my breath on these two VERY stubborn and selfish women to do anything for anyone but themselves.
46I can't take this girl seriously because she will always remind me of Violet from Saved By the Bell. Maybe it's just me, but you'd think she'd get over the drama with her mom if her dad was sick. I hope there's something more to the story because if she really was "Daddy's Little Girl" she'd want to be there in his final moments.
