Nicole and Joel launched their children's foundation yesterday in LA with a surprise baby shower for 100 new moms and moms-to-be. Nicole looked stylish in her cute maxi dress while Joel worked on his protective daddy stance. The couple had a lot of fun giving out gifts, which included over $200,000 worth of baby products from Fisher-Price. Nicole said, "The looks on their faces were priceless. Some of them didn't even believe us [when they saw the gifts]. They thought we were joking." Joel added how important it was for him and Nicole to connect with the greater LA community. Considering less than a year ago Nicole was driving the wrong way down the freeway in the middle of the night, who would have thought they'd seem so ready to be parents now?

when did she get so dark? i know she is part african american, but this is definitely the darkest ive ever seen her. that being said, i think she looks gorgeous!

19Why is her "darkness" an issue that needs to be commented on? As stated above, the girl isn't white!
20Nicole is part African American, but she seems to have suppressed her heritage in the past... hanging out with a very vocal racist (paris hilton), ONLY dating white men, never letting her hair grow natrually, etc.
Maybe she looks so great because her ethnicity is shining through - just a thought.
Jicole looks adorable and it's wonderful to see that the pregnancy practically turned her into a more likable and generous person. I wonder what's next in her agenda; I won't be surprised if she decides to write a children's book!

42I don't necessarily think she suppressed her heritage...her parents are African-American, after all. I just think she grew up in a wonderful bubble where differences didn't matter.
Also, understand that Nicole and Paris have a 20 year friendship...but notice, that the bond isn't nearly as tight as it once was before.
43Is this the community service she needs to serve for that incident last year?.. She does look nice pregnant. I wish them well...We both are the same age and can't imagine being pregnant as it is a huge responsibility. I'm still very selfish. Never would have thought in a million years that Nicole would have a baby soon. Should be interesting to see her next year in heels carrying a little baby ..
