Last night in New York, some of the most recognized celebrities came out to honor everyday people who accomplished amazing things this year. The event was CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, which featured performances from Mary J. Blige and Sheryl Crow along with presentations by Anderson Cooper and Tyra Banks among others. Ty-Ty did not dress down for the occasion. From a 12-year-old leukemia patient who made it his mission to register fellow minorities as bone marrow donors to a Seattle man who opened a clinic in Kenya to a teenager who developed a music program to help kids with autism, the honorees were an incredible group.

1i watched this last night and it was so moving. my favorite story (so hard to pick just one!) was the soldier who adopted a handicapped iraqi orphan. and i always love watching anderson cooper do anything.
