Rosie's comments were definitely offensive and her 'applogy' was pathetic. Not only did she shrug it off as her own ignorance at what is and is not offensive to Chinese people but she also said she can't promise that it won't happen again. I'm sure she would have been extremely upset and horribly offended if someone made an offhanded joke about gay people.

I commented on Rosie a couple of days ago on another thread (I said essentially the same thing Soonerbabe just did - we Sooners must think alike, huh?), but I must say I'm fascinated with the celebrity scandal-apology cycle. Some random celeb (it doesn't really matter who it is; it happens the same way every time) does something completely offensive, at which point an apology is immediately demanded by whatever group was offended, at which point an apology is issued, at which point the offended party claims that the apology was not enough and that more should be done.

That dress is doing NOTHING for Bridget's boobs. Eek!
