I think it is completely misleading to say she had a #1 hit. That implies that it was #1 on The Billboard Chart, which it wasn't.

I doubt she's going to make a "comeback". She was going to this year, but just got worse. Remember when she had a makeover and reunited with her manager? Didn't last.

She is just so young and needs to grow up - the photogs should really give her some space... She will come back someday but has to realize that her kids should be number one.

She's not that young. A 26 year old mother of two should have grown up before she chose to have children.

Britney is really crazy. The only different between her and the crazy screaming woman living out of a shopping cart in every major city is that Britney has millions of dollars. But at the rate she's going, I doubt her money will hold out forever.

She will come back one day? No one wants her to "comeback"....by the time she (if ever) gets any sence about her there will be a ton of younger, prettier, smarter, girls to take her place. She's a has been, which at 26 yrs old is a shame, but she's a joke and she will never get back any amount of respect from the music industry..if you will remember, she really didn't have any respect from the top dogs in the industry as far as talent went even when she was at her best...she was just something that sold well to the public...she was a good "gimmick" as Justin Timberlake said once.

Ginger, I don't think she is text book "crazy" (bi-polar, etc.) I think she is "celebrity crazy", where their egos inflate so large that they loose touch with common sense and reality. When people have been kissing your tooshie for over 5 years straight, you lose touch unless you make it a priority to stay grounded.

If only I could share stories to illustrate my point.

It may be part celeb crazy, but I don't think that's the whole story, and bi-polar might not be the exact diagnosis. Not that I'm a psychologist, it just seems that she's got multiple issues. And the bigger problem is that Britney doesn't think she has a problem..

I've worked around the industry most of my career, so celeb crazy and the ridiculous things people do is not news to me. But there are some really big A listers who are a lot more down to earth than many of the wanna-be producers and hanger-ons.

I don't know if she'll have a better year in 2008, but I hope she will wake up to her senses.

I think *Ginger* hit it dead on with Britney's MAIN problem in life.

Britney honestly doesn't think that she has a problem.

And just because we're changing over into another year, doesn't mean that things will automatically, immediately, or slowly change for the better with her. I think it will probably stay the same or get worse if Britney doesn't receive proper mental help. And NOT from a celebrity luxury rehab or mental institution. She needs a real institution in order to get better. Britney needs people around her that will tell her the TRUTH and will NOT pamper her anymore.

Pop - that's a very mild way of describing an absolutely horrific year fraught with the most self-center and self-absorbed Britney antics that we've seen yet. The girls a mess and I agree with Jillness that it's called "celebrity crazy" and I also agree with Ginger that her biggest problem is that she doesn't think she has a problem - her ego is that huge.

It grosses me out the way she courts the press and literally climbs in bed with them.

I think it will be like 2007 for Britney in 2008.Maybe she will change....but I have my doubts.

I do know that there are tons of A list celebs that are really grounded and genuinely kind people. But I just see a huge similarity with Britney's spoiled actions and some of the extremely spoiled behavior of the huge ego kind that the public doesn't usually see. The only difference in her case, is that she does it publicly.

A lot of people say they think she is bi-polar, but I had a college roommate disolve into that disease, and what Brit is doing is sooooooo different. Britney seems very in control of the chaos she creates. But I could be wrong, I am not a mental health expert!

This year was what she made it. If she'd cleaned up her act, it could have been different. Not expecting anything better for 2008...

Bleh I hope she gets less and less famous in 2008 so we can just be rid of her already!

Now I'm no fortune teller. But I don't feel next year looking good for Britney either.
