Hayden Panettiere, Ryan Reynolds and Quentin Tarantino were out bright and early this morning in LA to announce the nominees for the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards. Check out the full list of nominations here! For movies, in the drama categories, Atonement scored biggest with seven nominations including Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress (go Keira!), and Screenplay. Michael Clayton and the excellent No Country For Old Men each nabbed four including Best Picture and especially excited to see Clooney Best Actor and Javier for Best Supporting respectively. As for Comedy/Musicals, Charlie Wilson's War got the most nominations with five (including Hanks, Roberts and Seymour Hoffman) while Sweeney Todd nabbing four (including for Johnny Depp and Tim Burton specifically). As expected, Angelina got the nod for A Mighty Heart. I'm also especially excited to see Ryan Gosling nominated for Lars and Casey Affleck for Jesse James.
As for television, sooo excited to see Californication getting nominated in Best Series and Best Actor (yay, Duchovny) along with my beloved 30 Rock. Meanwhile, The Office and even more surprisingly The Sopranos only got one nomination apiece. Also, yay for Pushing Daisies for getting a few nods. Congrats to all the nominees!

congrats to Plan B and Angie
the nom that makes me really happy? viggo mortensen for best actor! he's such an amazing actor, he was robbed of a nom for "A History of Violence" but he was even better in "Eastern Promises". so glad he was recognized, even if i think he'll lose out to denzel or george.
I don't get it...why am I not allowed to see the full list? I click there, I sign in and it says "sorry, you're not allowed to see this". Come on!...
Wow I guess I need to check out some of these movies!
yay for ryan, angie and johnny!!
And Viggo Mortensen for Best Actor...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wanted David Cronenberg for Best Director too...Well, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton were nominated, at least that...
Johnny Deep yay
YUCK Hayden. yuck!!!!!!!!
Sorry eveday, Buzz and I were trying to coordinate posting but mine went up a few minutes early...link should be all good now!
..congrats to brangie, johnny, viggo
Congrats to George, Denzel, Cate, Angelina, Keira, James McAvoy and ofcourse Johnny D!
Man I just watched a Mighty Heart. WOW amazing. Just amazing.
I like this list of people, should be a goo golden globes!
how the fudge did Katherine Heighl get a nomination
Anyone else surprised Gone, Baby Gone got no noms?
Thanks Molly...I tried a few seconds after my first post and it worked just fine.
Katherine got a nomination? Its just gonna inflate her ego even more...
Ryan R. is looking completely drool-worthy in above pic!
yum, ryan reynolds is dreamy. Oh how I wish!
Congrats to Angie, Plan B and all the other nominees
toby, it got one nom for amy ryan's supporting performance. i loved that movie, would have liked to see it get another nom for best picture but it looks like a really crowded field this year.
Keira will win this and the Oscar. i can just feel it, there is just tooo much buzz for her not to win.
Ya i think Gone Baby Gone should have got more than one nomination, hopefully they will get more awards in the upcoming award shows.
All I care about is that I can see Ryan. And he's growing his beard back. YEAH!!
Brad Pitt?
I'm so glad Michael C. Hall got nominated, Dexter should have been nominated as a series...it's the best thing on TV. Personally, I think it's better than the Sopranos ever was.
Greggie, as soon as I saw the picture of Ryan R. I thought of you
Katherine Heigl? I almost feel bad for her now, she's too over exposed!
Congrats to all the nominees! I really need to get out more!
I am completely shocked and disappointed that Into the Wild didn't get a nod! Or that Emile Hirsch didn't get one for best actor or that Sean Penn didn't get one for best director!! That movie was phenomenal on every level. WTF? Ick.
I'm so behind on my film watching..
Can't wait to see Sweeney Todd! and also looking forward to watching Atonement.. just want to finish reading the book first!
good choices though x
yay for Angie. she was fantastic in a mighty heart. Easily the best performance of her career
I'm sorry but how did The Office not get nominated for Best Comedy???
On a side note, yay for Pushing Daisies!!
What a great post! Johnny and Ryan are up for awards, they are such good actors. Added manjoyment Ryan R. Nice work.
it's sad that hayden didn't get to announce any nominations for heroes!!
I am livid that they ignored both Emile Hirsch & Josh Brolin. 2 of the best male performances of the year were completely unrecognized and it’s a shame. They better get Oscar noms!!
I didn’t fully realize what a joke the Golden Globes had become until I read that John Travolta scored a nod for Hairspray. Did they run out of options or…?
I think that Julie Christie is going to win. She's won almost every critic's award for her performance as an Alzheimer's patient in "Away From Her".
Yeah for Viggo!
"Anyone else surprised Gone, Baby Gone got no noms?"
They did get a nomination for Supporting Actress (Amy Adams), but I am surprised Ben didn't get a directing nomination.
I am really happy for Viggo!!!!!!
He is a fantastic actor, and from what I hear, a genuine sweetheart. Smart, talented, kind, and handsome...what an amazing combo!
congratulations george i hope u win cuz iam too sure of that and am happy for javeir and brad too.and for all sure iam sure that keira will win
Congrats to James McAvoy, Viggo, Johnny, Angelina, Ryan and Keira. But I think Gone Baby Gone should have got more than 1 nomination. It was terrific.
Javier is the best.I knew he would get a nomination.
hot hot ryan reynolds.
congrats to julia and jodie!
how did across the universe just sneak it's way in? it got no nominations and just shows up for best picture! ugh i thought that movie was just terrrrribbblllleeee
and boo for no emile. he was awesome in into the wild. such a hard performance to pull off.
ryan reynolds i just wanna lick/eat your face.
yay for Jodie Foster! I don't care about keira Knightley. She's just not a good actress at all to me. I think she just got into a good film and that's it.
LOVE that shirt!!
Much love to Quentin for rocking his Barong Tagalog!
Sweeney Todd!
