After looking glamorous at the finale party for The Hills on Monday night, Lauren Conrad went casual with BlackBerry in hand at Urth Caffe yesterday. While we gear up for the bonus episodes of season three, the questions about how "real" the show actually is are still flying. Apparently MTV arranged for LC to meet a boy during her stint in Paris in hopes that they would hit it off for a few juicy episodes. The plan worked and as we see from the preview we'll be watching Lauren ride off into the Parisian sunset on the back of a motorcycle with a guitar player. The best part? Her boy is in a band whose biggest hit is called "Loser, Boozer, Jacuzzi-User." Sounds like a real catch.

We were a bit confused after Heidi and Lauren were both spotted at the season finale after party at Koi on Monday, but it turns out that Spencer and Heidi were ushered out the door at LC's request before she even showed up. Apparently Miss Conrad also had a little too much to drink and eventually was found slumped over at her table. We guess that big announcement was just exhausting.

7I'm not a huge fan of her, and while it never bothered me before how fake her show is, I feel like it has gotten out of hand. The season finale just didn't make sense, and it made Heidi and Spencer's relationship seem so obviously fake. Heidi tells Stephanie she is having second thoughts about marriage and not to tell Spencer. Stephanie tells Spencer, duh. Spencer gets mad at Heidi....not thrilling. And wasn't Lauren in Paris for like...a weekend, what's the big deal?
8Sadly, I have come to believe that the hills is not all "real". Just from the look of the trailer... It looked like a movie. I still love the show. I doubt she was drunk that night because she looked gorgeous and sober leaving Koi that night. I hope she does not hook up with that french man because he looks ugly. If MTV is setting these girls up... then, MTV should pick better looking men.

13tkoblondee- believe me her head is not on straight. All she does on the show now is try to hook up with guys and goes out to clubs and drinks. Her voice is always so raspy from all the drinking and yelling she does at the clubs.
Although I dont blame her for continuing with a fake show. She gets paid something like $15,000 per episode. Thats why she is able to live in designer clothes, drive a nice car and not really work. So with that kind of money coming in I totally see her riding this out as long as she can

JessNess: I work in 'the biz' and I can tell you for sure that MTV doesn't pay any 'star' on The Hills $15K an episode (or any star on any show they've had ever for that matter). They are notoriously cheap and planted that story so they didn't look as bad about racking up the bucks on the backs of those ladies. They spend $15K/episode on each of the girls on average, but it's not actual salary.
15I don't really care if the show is fake. It is nice to unwind to something light and because I love fashion this show appeals to me. I think LC has great style and I am glad she had fun in Paris...I can't wait to watch it!

yeah MTV treats its stars like crap. there's no way she's getting $15,000/episode. they just exploit young people who want to be on tv. hey, it works for them, so i can't blame them.

25Well, I have friends that works for Viacom (MTV parent company) and says that LC is well paid like she makes about two millions for season 3. MTV will not pay up front but the Hills is their number one show for the network and LC's dad is quite business savy. I also heard that Heidi makes about 1 million and Audrina/Whitney makes 500,000 to 750,000 for the season. MTV never pays its star by episodes because they never know how many they will come up with. They are usually paid by season. They also give them bonuses and LC gets a small percentage off the books/DVD sales.
26Well whatever MTV is paying she definitely is making something otherwise there really is no other reason to carry on the charade other than trying to pimp her overpriced clothing line
