No one could have predicted what 2007 had in store for Nicole Richie. Here's a look back at Nicole's crazy and exciting year, which was a far cry from
The Simple Life. In fact, this troubled starlet of years past has been voted your

I think Pop Sugar is being extreme by calling Nicole Ritchie a Role Model. That she finally got her sh*t together and is being responsible for the sake of her baby is true .
1I think I am going against the grain with this one. I just don't see simply getting pregnant as turning into a role model. With all of the truly nasty things I have heard her say and do, it will take a lot more to get me to change my mind.
2im glad shes coming to her senses for the baby. good for nicole.
3Role model? Pssh. Hardly.
4way to go nicole!

6Role model??? not so much. But she is improved.
7wow what a year she had and cram a baby in there...
8Is that Whitney from the Hills behind them?
9Improved just because she quit drinking and driving and doing drugs? She got knocked up by this guy she dated for like 2 months...seriously. That is a role model? Wow, what a sad world we live in.
10I think that is Whitney..I would not call her a Role Model either, but she is changed for the better,I just can't stomach that boyfriend of hers..
11hopefully she stays clean even after the baby is born.
12i definitely think that's Whitney behind them... I think she's absolutely the most improved. While she may not be a "role model" yet, I think she's definitely on her way to being someone that parents won't be ashamed to let their child watch.
13From the little that I've seen of The Simple Life, I think she is truly a disgusting person. I doubt that getting knocked up has made her into a role model.
14Role model? I'm assuming this is a joke.
15Wow, all I have to do to become a role model is get pregnant and not even be married? that's easy.
16All she did was improve her image. A role model? Not even close!! Let's hope that she doesn't come up with any drama after the baby is born.
17I agree Jillness, but I do think she has improved and it has nothing to do with her being pregnant either. I think she should get some credit, I'm not saying she's an awesome rolemodel but what I always liked about her was that she didn't pretend to be innocent. Plus the girl HAS kept herself
18out of trouble and the spotlight which is at least a tiny bit admirable, when compared to some of her peers like LL, Brit and Paris. She may still be the little b*tch she was on The simple life on the INSIDE, but she sure has bettered her image.
i think its great that she stood up and took action to try to improve her life...thats all that any of us can do.
so, she may not be a role model for some but she can definitely be viewed as a role model for some people for sure.
so good for her..
19It looks like Whitney, she is so cute. Nicole is no role model but she is better.
20I respect everyone's opinion, but my humble opinion just isn't convinced by her.
I don't even think it has been a year since she was flooring it down the 134 in the wrong direction. Just because another dangerous situation hasn't occurred during the past 12 months doesn't necessarily mean she has "improved" as a person. There is just no evidence either way.
I don't really see how she has taken any action. While it isn't a step down, it isn't a step up either.
21I'm absolutely in agreement with you, Jillness.
22Thanks, Siren! (love your avtar by the way)
23Aww thanks!
24I'm also completely in agreement with you Jillness - all the way. Nicole doesn't even come close to being a role model.
25These people that write articles really need to stop labeling these types of people and then making it sound as if we would agree OR gave them this impression. It’s like Whitney Houston stating that Bobbi Brown was the king of R&B….yeah right, she was the only one really trying to label her ex-husband.
Who in there right mind would consider Nicole R. too be a role model. A druggy, alcoholic, unmarried pregnant woman, with no morals, or goals in life? And the only thing that slowed her partying down was the fact that she slipped up and made the mistake of getting pregnant. Come on ya'll.
Nicole R. obviously doesn't even know any REAL role models herself that she could have been looking up too.
26Role model?
27not exactly a starlet, but it's nice to see people trying to improve themselves
28I think it is much too soon to tell if she has truly changed her ways... and a starlet she is NOT
29Glad to see I'm not the only one appalled that she's being called a role model! I could really rant on this topic but everyone has pretty much done it for me. I'll just say I'm really disgusted by this and let it go.
30Role Model? You forgot that only one year ago she was driving the wrong way on the freeway, drugged up and everything. And don't get me wrong, Joel could be the love of her life, but getting knocked up by someone you knew for like six month isn't something that makes her a role model or much of a responsible woman either. She's doing now what most people in Hollywood do, a little charity here and there, launch a foundation, of course with lots of cameras around. That's good for those people, but in first place it's good for her image. Once she'll gave birth she will have a little person who wont applaud her for fastening her shoes.
31Role model! What a joke. They have got to be kidding us all. Who came up with that messed up idea? She is and NEVER will be anyone good role model.
