Ashlee Simpson's new video for "Outta My Head" has been released and well, it's certainly interesting. The pop star who works hard at pretending to not be so popish uses this video to display her more artsy side. She even described it as a mix of Being John Malkovich and Salvador Dali. We were intrigued at first, but the more we watched the crazier it seems. Although you all were not huge fans of the song, we have to say we think it's super catchy. What do you think about the video?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
1My ears are bleeding. Thanks Ashley.

2the video is very confusing and funny/weird
..but i guess whatever works.
3This video just rips off a whole bunch of ideas and previous artists' (and directors') style.
And I prefer that Ashlee Simpson's atrocious song/video keep its grubby hands off of Gulliver's Travels.
4Someone answer me this, why even make videos anymore? they dont get shown on anything besides youtube, they arent relevant to the artists popularity anymore, to me they have just become this way of acting like you are "artsy" like miss asslee here
5this reminds me of madonna...and how talentless she is. and how talentless ashlee simpson is.
6
caterpillar..i know everything is on youtube nowadays.
7i like it, i think it's artsy
she threw in a little Salvatore Dahli at the beginning, i love
8I think her acid reflux burned a hole in her brain.
LOL
9Strange...
10I like the song
and it's a fun video. Ashlee's voice is unusual
and distict... a welcome change from the current crop of popstars who all sound the same.
11I love this song, the video is okay
12This reminds me of mid 80's girl pop-rock stuff. You know, Belinda Carslile kinda stuff.
Weird. I'm not a fan though. I thought we'd moved on from that genre of music!
13It reminds me alot of Gwen Stefani
14The song and the video are very 80's.
15heat the video heat the song.
16Eww...nuff said.
17marissa88 i was about to say the smae.
18I want to hate this, because I have no respect for Ashlee's career. But I don't. It's refreshing to see a young pop princess doing a video that's more than just her in different sexy outfits. It reminds me of an updated version of the Cars' "You Might Think" video.
The song... well, I think Ash is trying too hard to shed her pop image by trying (unsuccessfully) to emulate the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or the Sounds or any of those other chick bands that were pretty hot a couple of years ago. I'm not really a fan.
But I prefer it to anything I've heard from her sister.
19*same
20alisha...couldnt have said it better myself. i think she is a Blondie-wanna-be...with none of the talent. her voice is so synthesized and remixed that anyone could do this. she just has the money to pay people to make this happen.
21it's very 80s
22I'm loving the 80's vibe. Even though she can't sing as well as Jessica, she comes up with catchier songs.
23Reminds me of Peter Gabriel. I think it works with the song.
24I am not a fan. The song and video leaves me feeling annyoed...
25That was so weird, I laughed the whole time. I loved it!! I cannot wait for the CD!
26Is it just me or did you see a HUGE resemblance to Gwen Stafani???
COPYCAT!
27gwen stefani rip off
booo!!!
28not feeling the song so much..but i am all for artistic expression the video had a very 80's T to it!
29I liked it (though I never liked her). I think it was INSPIRED by the 80s and new age pop.
Please stop saying it was a Gwen Stefani rip off. Gwen Stefani IS a rip off of the 80's.
Its a lot better then that Ashley Tinsdale chick, High school musical, or any other pop crap I usually just turn off so I don't know their names.
30Everyone seems so hell bent on bashing her just because she's a Simpson and because she's going for something different--which I think is a nice change from the same old pop crap.
31FYI- It was actually Pete who described it as being like a Salvador Dali painting with a little Being John M.
32well i think its still pop crap but the vid is cool..
33
Poser. First, "la la" now "ya ya ya." What's with her writhing around while sticking her
chest up in the air? She does it in her other videos too.
34It's different.
I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I won't listen to or watch this ever again.
35The entire time I was thinking Gwen Stefani too - good call guys!
36I thought it was ok... much better than anything Jessica has done though.
ashley can not even be compared to jessica, not in the talent realm in any way.
37Did someone really call Madonna talentless? Blasphemy... As for this song, it's not bad and it's not good, I could take it or leave it but it's a hell of a lot better than listening to Jessica!
38I like it. I cant stand her, but I give her props for creativity and taking chances. I cant even remember the last time I watched a music video because they are all pretty much the same. I remember back in the day when a new song came out and you couldnt wait for the video to come out. Now you can pretty much predict what a video will be like. So yeah, its refreshing to see someone come up with some original/creative ideas
39it doesnt fit the song and she looks like she is trying to rip off qwen with that top hat. plus the song is trash
40I imagine thats what acid is like...lol
41It looks A LOT like a Gwen Stefani video. I couldn't sit through the whole thing though....
42Gwen Stefani rip off. Especially the part where she is sitting on the cube with the little hat. Dumb video, dumb song, dumb girl!
43I think its pretty lame - an interesting idea, though someone else's
44Could pull it off if it was a better song
45Please stop with the Gwen comparisons. You all know that when you first saw "what ya waiting for" you thought "wow does this just rip off The Cure and Duran Duran". Gwen and Ashley both worked with the same producers, though both were contributing writers.
46I feel there could have been more possibilities with this song.
47I like her and I like the song
48I think it's a GREAT video.
49skinnymarie let people have they own DAMN OPINIONS..jeez if they want to say it..then let the thing go!!
