After last night's DUI (and the requisite public mugshot), Mischa Barton's mother bailed her out this morning. She was caught by the paparazzi looking understandably coy sneaking out of the police station and into the backseat of her mom's Mercedes (here's video, kind of). I mean, it's no iconic Paris cop car photo, but you can see a distraught Mischa heading home. TMZ has some more details about her arrest, saying that she was pulled over when she was spotted "straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn" and when the cop pulled her over it was clear she had been drinking (and didn't have a valid license...and about those narcotics...). What do you think — were you surprised by the news about Mischa?

11It is a shame but this behavior is becoming the norm for young Hollywood. That's not to say this doesn't happen to kids that aren't famous, it happens a lot, we just don't hear about it. The least you could do is give your buds a call to come get you or find a safe place to crash for the night. Don't risk it.

22Why in the hell would anyone be surprised? All of these girls are actors. Does anyone actually expect someone to come out and say "I am exactly like my druggie friends. I love to smoke pot, snort lines, and pop pills." Paris went on Larry King and stated she had never done drugs. How many videos and pictures are out there of her smoking weed or talking about coke? PLENTY. Don't expect these girls to be any different than the rest of this country. I would say at least 90% of Hollywood has some type of substance problem, but it's the norm so they don't see it that way. The only time they start to reevaluate their "activities" is when it creates a problem for their work or they start getting compared to Britney and Lindsay.

I guess the question is who is going to be next celebrity to be arrested for drinking and driving. It is pretty sad that this happens and they never learn anything from it. The downside of being a Hollywood starlet is that you have easy access to drugs and alcohol. Your parents are so money hungry that they forget the family values and everything goes to pot from there.

43Ugh, so not surprised! We've seen photos of her lighting up, and didn't she have an issue with over-medicating at Nicole Richie's party? I guess I'm a little surprised that she chose to drive under the influence, not because I think she is smarter than that...but, didn't she kind of notice her friends were getting in trouble for that!?
As far as anyone saying she shouldn't be allowed to post bail or she should be sent back to prison, that seriously makes me feel sick. If you guys want to live in a country that has suspended their constitution and disregards any sort of due process, move to Pakistan or something! What Mischa did was wrong, but it makes me so sad that people take America's constitutional rights for granted, or think they shouldn't be extended to everyone!
