Celebs are no strangers to controversy, but a few completely lost their heads this year and found themselves in more trouble than they (or we) ever could have expected. We were absolutely shocked when Mel Gibson was pulled over for drunk driving and proceeded to verbally attack everyone around him with anti-Semitic and sexist remarks. Similarly Michael Richards went on a racist rant on two African American men at an LA nightclub. Both men have since apologized but the damage has been done. Their lovable images are tarnished and it's doubtful either of their careers will ever fully recover.

I'm over these two. They both said pretty disgusting things.
so last year.....
What about Isiah Washington's homophobic rant?????
Richards doesn't really have a career to talk about anyway so he can't possibly suffer too much more. Gibson has supporters every where and could have pretty much retired 10-15 years ago so I'm sure he'll be fine, plus his latest movie did great, I do hope he does more to fix his mistake though cause I still kinda like him but I completely disagree with what he did. Jewish people are among the kindest I have ever met so I have my fingers crossed
Both over the hill losers
I agree w/Golfer Girl. Isaiah Washington should be on this list, too. He's a jerk.
whatever, these guys are assholes.
no clue who isaiah is
im over this.. whatever, they apologized. I still think Mel Gibson is a great director and actor
I have nothing to say about this. They are both morons.

hate racists, cant stand em
Michael Richards wishes you a very "WHITE" Xmas all!!
Don't forget Rosie "Ching Chong" O'Donnell! It wasn't a rant, but it was racist. Worst of all, her "fake" apology that she's sorry people took it the wrong way--not that what she said was wrong. One of her defenses was that she does lots of accents--but mocking the way someone sounds is not an "accent." Boo to Rosie!
Yeah 2006 has been the year of racist rants...WTF? Pathetic! But it's like it's all these people from the 80's freaking out and bothering the rest of the world with their issues. I was a huge Mel Gibson fan (Braveheart) and what he said about Jewish people was deeply offensive to me. As for Michael Richards...appalling. And Isaiah, Rosie, Andy Dick, etc...shameful.
i was a fan of mel too, but expect the unexpected i guess
They are both twats, Apocalypto was awesome though......didn't pay to see it though lol.
