Ugh, Britney. So much for starting 2008 off on the right foot. Today's another mess of stories and legal trouble. According to TMZ, Britney's deposition was scheduled to take place today, but for the fifth time she was a no show. This, combined with what I can only imagine is the biggest headache ever working for Brit, led her team of lawyers to file a petition to quit the case. The firm, Trope and Trope, had this to say, "There has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible." These guys were only able to stand a few short months working for the pop tart after her last legal team bailed in September.
Where was Britney this whole time? Well, she apparently checked into the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs with her photog buddy Adnan Ghalib at about 2 AM last night only to check out at 7 AM. I hate to expect the worst, but it sounds like Brit may be headed for even more disaster.

1K-Fed's lawyers NEED to ask the judge for her to go to Jail!!!! This is getting ridiculous. Show up for your depo and fight for your kids. If not, LET IT GO! It's clear where does kids need to be, and no, its not with her. CAN SHE JUST LET IT GO! Please, for those poor kids that are probably going to be scarred for life because of this. JUST LET IT GO! Britney really needs help.

23I feel kind of nauseated reading this. I keep waiting for her to hit rock bottom so she'll wake up to herself and maybe start complying with court orders and also get the help she so desperately needs, but she appears not to have a "rock bottom". She's just in endless free fall... When she does hit... well... something, anyway... it's going to be too late. She's going to splatter everywhere, and for ever more be a "cautionary tale" and a metaphor for what happens to stupid, uneducated girls with pushy, redneck stage mothers when there's a lot of fame and money involved.
