Michael Vartan arrived in Melbourne today for some serious poker tournament. Sounds like something one of the characters on Big Shots would do, but not his. Vartan plays the one real endearing guy on the show about rich CEO men BSing about acting like women. Unfortunately we're not so sure how long we'll get to watch Michael on the small screen. After being shelved for a few weeks, ABC is bringing back Big Shots to air three more episodes. Depending on how well these do will determine whether or not the struggling drama will be picked up — that is, assuming this sad writers' strike ever comes to an end. Maybe a second career as a poker champion isn't such a bad idea after all.

Michael is a very hot man (these pics arent the best). He was great on Alias, but I haven't seen Big Shots yet. The need to put him in a good film where he can work it.

as for the show, big shot, pop i agree his character is the only endearing male character in the show. though i'm not a fan, i'll tune in for the 3 episodes just to see what happens between his character and nia long's character.

Michael is an absolute gem of a person and one of those that for some unknown reason has gone under the radar for too long. I think he needs a new agent because he is HOT! Not only is he a great actor, he's a good person, very humble and very kind. And just in case you need to know the #1 quality he looks for in a woman is KINDNESS!! How awesome is that?

21Micheal is an extraordinary poker player but it would be a complete waste Pop to have him do that for a living - he needs to be on the big screen! Unfortunately I have given Big Shots as much support and patience as anyone can and it's just a terrible show. I only watch it for Michael and even that's difficult. It's so poorly written and none of the characters have any sort of substance except for Micheals and Nias. It's such a waster. As Pink says, I'll watch the rest just to watch but I would rather watch an episode of Alias that I've already seen 20 times over than one episode of Big Shots.

Big Shots is AWFUL. I tried to watch it to support Nia Long, Michael, Dylan McDermott and Titus, but I just gave up...then ABC shelved it, and that was all she wrote...LOL. I may give it 1 more chance...if they stop trying to make the Karl character some type of "playboy"...BLECH!!!

Alias is FAB, really talk about a show that had incredible writing and all of the characters were so well played. I can't think of anyone on that show that I didn't like, even the characters I didn't like *lol*

48I see Alias at the used book store all the time... perhaps I will check it out. It sounds kind of fun. I suppose while I'm there I better look for NBK too! It's going to be a movie watching weekend, just perfect for the rain we're having.
