I don't understand how people can judge her and say such hateful things about her. She is obviously a person with a great deal of mental pain, perhaps even a psychiatric disoder. How can you judge someone whose mind is betraying them? The fact that her blood tests came back clean make it all the more evident that she is truly not in control and in desperate need of help from medical and mental health professionals. All the people who have been saying disgusting things about her should be ashamed of themselves.

I was watching the Today show this morning and they had a mental health professional on. The expert said that based on Britney's symptoms it seems that she may have a manic depressive disorder, aka bipolar disorder. They also reported that Britney was laughing for most of the ride to the hopsital.

This is really sad. I hope she gets the help she obviously needs.

Fact is that she didnt take her HOURLY medication for her bi-polar problem. It must be bad if she has to take it hourly. This is all just so sad. I am glad however that they are going to evaluate her for 72 hours...this is exactly what she needs!

I really like this site and its generally no-bashing attitude to famous people so could you stop covering this story? This is a woman with two children. It's tragic. Part of Britney's problem is the weird scrutiny of her every move. Shall we just stop now for a while, please, until something positive is to be said? Or just Anna-Nicole ourselves some more?

well all we can do is just that it is not true right!just let it be mental so that she can better!cause we look on the positive side just hope it's not drugs.you know my cousin was in this same sh*t we all thought it was drugs and we were so close she told me what was wrong and i believe it's the same thing with brit it' that she need some one to trust{a lover} stress,{the media about her and negitivity},and lonlilness.and my cousin is back to normal all brit needs is some 2 year counselling in a home!

well shouldn't they be more scared. she was not under the influence at all, nothing else contributed to that stunt but her mental state instead. i'd say admit her for good and lock her up. she's not going to get better running loose like that!

I'm actually surprised. Lots of people with mental illnesses self medicate with alcohol or drugs. I think she seriously has a mental illness and needs more help than she's able to get for herself.

FWIW I've been there, my half sister was an alcoholic/drug abuser than spiraled out of control and tried to throw herself off a building after a trip to FL, and all of that was just in high school. People like this need help and don't really even know it

I personally think she hasn't hit rock bottom yet till she loses custody of her kids. This is all so sad.

I have read a couple of different places about this hourly drug. Is there even such a thing? wouldn't that mean that you had to wake up every hour during the night and take a pill. That doesn't make any sense to me.

She is bi-polar people.....try reading up on it. It can cause a person to have wild mood swings....basically making them seem crazy. She didnt take her meds and it caused her to flip out....she is under a ton of stress and not in her right mind.

Don't you guys remember that crazy lady that drowned her four kids? She wasn't on any kind of medication, but she needed to be. I think this is the case with Britney. She's had too much trauma in her life, granted she brought most of it on herself. I think she needs to be medicated.

Last month the cover of Life & Style magazine announced that Brad was leaving Angie to go back to Jennifer Anniston. A couple of weeks later it announced that Britney was pregnant again. I'm not sure how much stock I would put into anything this magazine says.

Would the hospital really disclose a patients' private records to Life and Style? I'm with the non-believers as least until there is some evidence of a negative test.

Doesn't matter, she needs to rid herself of the demons or she's headed down a scary dark path.

I think she should be committed to some sort of facility for her own well-being. It would probably be against her will, but she obviously needs more help than she's getting.

Wow. I didn't see that coming. I really was sure she took something. Total mental breakdown then, what? Wow.

I think the people that are hoping for her comeback are so mean! Stop being selfish! She doesn't need to work on her career, she needs to get herself under control. To stay alive, she needs to get a handle on herself, not her career!! She needs to actually start bonding with her kids.

The thing that would be best for her is to retire, and if you actually cared about this person you claim to adore, you would see that.

I don't want to say anything about this because it seems liek this does contribute to her problems. I feel absolutely terrible for her. I have not really ever been a Britney basher just because I think it's obvious that her early start and overwhelming fame have been serious factors in her recent behavior. I do hope that she gets help for herself and because of her boys. I think it is entirely possible that her reactions are not caused by drugs or alcohol but are because of mental strain and I don't think that calling her nuts or whacko is appropriate.
