While the Golden Globes show is canceled this year, last night's Critics' Choice Awards brought out some A-Listers in LA. The stars all looked great on the red carpet and inside got down to honoring each other. The writers' strike was the topic of the night, but there were still some light hearted moments up on stage. Katie Holmes looked fabulous (in her toga) giving out an award while Angelina and Brad were ever the popular kids fielding visits at their table from Clooney/Queen Latifah and Casey Affleck. Javier really ran away with the show at the end up three times in a row to accept for himself, the Coens and the movie. He got in an anti-Bush jab, but his real acceptance speech was totally sweet. ugh..celebs are so 2007. aren't you guys over the hypocrisy yet? seriously, the elitism and pomposity are just too much. sean penn is a gun toting, wife beater; george clooney doesn't even respect himself enough to come out of the closet and lives in italy where he can behave as a monarch because that's politically how he's REALLY like it to be- telling the "little people" how to live. and angelina is elevated as a saint, when most people in know she still has a heroin issue and didn't even bother funding the "foundation" she started in maddox's name after she got all the press for it. katie sold her soul to an organization rooting in alistair crowley's human sacrificing church of satan and we glamorize her? what's hilarious is hearing these people pontificate about how america needs to change..yeah..we do..we need to start looking to idiots like this for inspiration.

Secondly-most of us are grown women who have families, and homes, and jobs. This site is a place for us to come together and gossip and giggle, and occasionaly fight. Its like a giant slumber party around here! Most of the stuff on here we dont take seriously, its just a place for us to come to "escape" for a while, if you will. If you dont like it, then leave. Your silly little comment is going to have little to no effect on anyone who posts on this site...I mean, really. Do you think anyone of us actually went "Oh dear lord, you are right. OH THE HYPOSCRISY, I will turn my back on all things celebrity now that you have pointed that out to me" NO! 27lovej2-katie is FAR from anorexic. Just because some is skinny (which I would really even discribe katie as being skinny..she is healthy) that doesnt mean they are anorexic. Katie is very fit, if she were ano, you wouldnt see the muscle definition in her arms.
