Well getting your GED is good. And it's more education than Britney got, I think.
Lets dream she gets her degree, moves away from Hollywood and she and Casey both go to college instead. Mmmmh ... lovely, but somehow unrealistic with Lynne as momager!

I think Britney did get her GED, I think. There is something off about this picture, I don't know, it might just be me thinking about how much of a little girl she looks and at the same time is. Sad.

Ok I have to say she's dressing like the teenage girls I went to high school with who were pregnant but we were all pretending that they weren't so they could finish out senior year in peace. Huge hoodie, baggy jeans, huge book and that was 1988! It's funny the teacher and administrators had no clue that three seniors were pregnant until the waddled up to get their diplomas. Parents gasped but then applauded just like they did for everyone else.

I wish she was enrolling in regular high school instead of getting her GED because maybe Private & some state universities won't accept GEDs. But it's better than Britney and not finishing at all.

One of the guys at where I work part time told me that GEDs aren't even worth much anymore in the work world. At least she is trying to finnish her education in someway though.

I remember my senior year(2005) when half the graduating class and most of the freshman/sophomore class was pregnant. Really sad actually.

A GED can get you into college. I am happy that she is going the educational route.

I agree, at least she is trying to get some form of education completed. Hopefully she can have somewhat of a normal life for her baby.

This is sad in more ways than one awww. Although she did it to herself I feel sorry for her (even though i shouldn't). I knew a lot of girls that were pregnant and/or had children and were going to school, it forces them into maturity though.

It's great shes getting an education!!! Maybe it's best that it happens this way. Maybe this is God saying "Jamie, have your own kids and then realize that your mom is WACK" lol

At least these pics pretty much disprove a lot of the headlines I was seeing in the grocery store that she's like six or seven months along. It's a baggy sweatshirt, but I think if her belly had popped we'd be seeing it.

Good for her. But why would she have to take her GED at 16? She can still enroll in high school and obtain an actual diploma.

jamie lynn was at a regular high school, but couldn't attend on a regular basis b/c of zoey 101. plus, if you were a famous teen who is britney spears' sister and pregnant, the last place you would want to be is a high school. give her a break!

Lynne as a "momager" really sucks. It is great that Jamie Lynn is trying to get some sort of education, but it does seem that she really loves the publicity and that she feeds off of all the drama in her kids' lives. Look at what she is wearing. She is dressing just like her 16 year old daughter. She did that when britney was that age and is doing it again. The fame just eats people alive. And it still kills me that she would call in Dr. Phill to the rescue. Who does that? Seriously.

After the publicity crap about her pregnancy, for the first time I feel happy that she actually decided to do something and not just live at the expenses of her REALLY STUPID sister.

As much as a GED and HS diploma are supposed to be equal, we all know they aren't looked at like that...if two people apply for a job and have the same skills and experience, we all know the HS diploma will win out over the GED.

But at least she is doing something. I don't blame her for not going back to school. Sure its her fault she got knocked up, but who wants to deal with that with a bunch of teenagers?

annebreal - I don't know if you can call this definitive proof. Just looking at stories in the news you hear about young women (mostly teens) having babies when no one knew they were pregnant. Their bodies just didn't give away that they were pregnant. Not saying that the stories were true just that you can't really say that these really disprove them.

Jamie Lynn was enrolled full time in a Christian school in MS.Once she got pregnant though she left because she knew if she stayed and they found out she would of been expelled.

Also there is nothing wrong with a GED.It's a diploma.It's get you into college.I got a GED.I have a good job and it's not in fast food.I'm in college studying nursing.It's not looked down on.It's better to have some kind of diploma than none.

I just read over at US' website that Zoey 101 ratings are up. Sounds like they're gonna keep the show since they've taped some of the 4th season already. I guess money talks. *shakes head*

I received my GED and worked as an executive assistant to the CEO and Chairman at a major financial trust firm for years, making great money. He said I was the best assistant he ever had during his 40 year career. I left that position and became a Portfolio Administrator before "retiring" early (I'm 34). Just because you get a GED it does not make you less of a person or a professional.

Lynn is clearly NOT a good mother. She's no better than Dina Lohan. She just hid it better.

I agree that at least a GED *is* something.

But it isnt the same as a diploma, nor is it enough to make a fantabulous career. No offense, but being an EA to a CEO does not make you a CEO. It makes you his assistant. Not really a cushy role that will have you set for life.

To use it as a stepping stone is one thing, but who strives for that?

A diploma wont get you anywhere either. She needs to be in college and on her way to moving herself up.
