Vince Vaughn played cowboy for a photoshoot for this week's issue of Parade, where he promotes the DVD of his Wild West Comedy Show. In the article he's as lovable as ever, talking about his alliterative name, his time on tour, and his famous co-stars. Here are highlights:
- On Jennifer Aniston: “I have such a great friendship with Jennifer. Really. I still talk to her constantly. I have a real, genuine connection with Jen. And I have a real appreciation of her. That continues to this day.”
- On Owen Wilson: "Owen Wilson is still a very close friend. Honestly, he's the nicest, smartest, greatest guy in the world. I don't really know what happened to him, truthfully, and I don't really care. I don't think anyone knows. Everyone has stuff to go through. We all do in life."

- On his name: "My dad's name is Vernon and my mom liked the initials, VV. My sisters and I got named Victoria, Valerie and Vincent so we'd be VV's, too. But, then when you start getting pets' names that start with a 'v,' it's a little embarrassing. When you are Vince Vaughn, and you go out to scream for 'Viking' the dog to come home, that's a little much. Then, Mom started looking in a dictionary for names and we ended up with a female Chihuahua, named Vanadis after some mythological goddess. So Victoria, Valerie and Vince were out playing with Vanadis. When I finally got a dog, I named him Rowdy. I had to break the chain."
- On the rumors that he and Reese haven't been getting along: "I think there were stories that we were clashing on the set. That couldn't be further from the truth. I adore her. She's not only a great actress, she's very funny. We've been having a really good time. You predicted that the press would say that we were dating, but they went the other way and said we're fighting. The two of us get along great."
We're glad he cleared up the rumors about the bad blood between him and Reese since we've been looking forward to seeing their chemistry in Four Christmases next year.

His statement about Owen has me confused
1I love the V story - love me some crazy moms!
nice interview
2I;m glad to hear that he and reese get along "great" because even if it isn't the case right now..it may be if she reads what he said and the nice things he said about her in this mag. He's hilarious and really nice in this interview so i hope that him and reese are really getting along like he says
3i love his story about his siblings all with V-names. it's the same for my family but with the letter K. i actually didn't mind it after i realized what writing 3 Ks together means in the United States. LOL. we had laundry baskets that my mom would put our initials to distinguish which one was for us, my parents and grandparents. i remember seeing our baskets marked with "KKK". upon seeing that and having had learned from my american schools what that stood for, i immediately told my mother NOT to do that anymore.
4FYI: i was born and raised in a different country, in case people are wondering why i write "my american schools," or why i didn't know what that symbol meant.
5He's awesome, makes me laugh all the time
6I love this guy- he is so hot!!!
7I like him, but every character he plays seems the same to me, and he seems the same in real life too (based on interviews).
I'm just wondering what, if anything, there is to him that makes him marketable for much longer.
8Would love to hang out and have a beer with him. How cool would that be?
9I'm glad ONE of Jen's ex's isn't a jacka$$! Vince does seem way cool, doesn't he? He'd be fun to go bar hopping with.
10I love this goofball!
11he's such a sweetheart eh?
Aww, I love him, and I love his funny, laid back personality. I find that so attractive. Love him in all his movies, especially A Cool, Dry Place. Swoon.
12Yay! I love me some Vince!
13LOVE HIM!!!
14I love the family "V" story, and glad to hear that Jen is still a good friend of his.

He knows something that we don't.
16I think that it's nice that he still talks to JA. He may be a blob but he seems like a real person and very genuine.
17LOVE VINCE!!!
18he seems like a really sweet, fun loving guy. and his comments about jen, owen and reese just show what a great friend he is. he is a good actor.. makes me laugh every time
19ExCape - I thought the same thing. It seemed like a subtle way of giving Owen a pass on the drug use issue. I love Owen but all signs point to drugs having a LARGE part to do with his August "incident." If Vince wasn't referring to that, then why on earth would he be quoted as saying that Owen is a very close friend but he doesn't care about what happened him if it was solely a mental health issue? Who wouldn't care about a close friend's mental health? Kate Hudson also said in her Vogue interview (regarding Owen's health) that many things are better left unsaid. All the implications are pretty obvious. It's sad ... OW's so talented and loved. I hope that he gets and STAYS clean.
20I am glad that Reese and him get along. :]
