Jennifer Lopez is one of the hardest workers in show business, what with all her acting, singing, dancing and designing, but we also know that these days she's all about her privacy as an expecting mom. That doesn't mean she won't sit down for a high profile interview, like this one with Harper's Bazaar. She gushed about her 8th fragrance, Deseo, Marc and that battle of love vs. money. Here's more:
- On her work: "Being an artist is about baring your soul. If you're not doing that, you're not creating anything worth anything. I always see myself as a performer first, so I will always want to make music, act in movies, even onstage."
- On working for love, not money: "I've been lucky that because of what I do as a performer, I've also been able to do stuff like fragrances that I love. I'll never look at it as a money thing. I'll always look at it as a creative outlet."
- On her husband Marc: "Marc is a really private person, and he's been singing onstage since he was really young. He made me realize you can be an artist, and have credibility and success, without your life being on public display 24 hours a day."
It is true that we see less of J Lo these days, but it's a welcome break after those years of seeing the ups and downs of Diddy, Ben Affleck and Jenny from the Block. Now we're settled in to sit tight and wait to see J Lo the mama.

1On working for love, not money: "I've been lucky that because of what I do as a performer, I've also been able to do stuff like fragrances that I love. I'll never look at it as a money thing. I'll always look at it as a creative outlet."
I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this quote. So basically, she loves doing what she does and it's not about the money. So, if we took away all of the money tomorrow, would she still do it?
2She works hard for her tortured animal pelts! She's a talentless, selfish critter-killer.
3"He made me realize you can be an artist and have credibility and success without your life being on public display 24 hours a day"
JENNIFER...
4u couldnt say it any better!just work hard and count $$$$$$$$!(this is what BURNS hater)
I'm disappointed.. I was so into J.Lo circa 2002. Now I don't see the point of the whole interview. She was such a media sensation back in the day, that there's nothing new left to say in interviews. For this issue of Bazaar,I think she has jus rephrased everything we know about about HER already!
I give J.Lo a big YAWWNN! I think she will disappear slowly and be forgotten until somebody invites her on Dancing with the stars, yet worst the Surreal Life!

6I love Jennifer.
7She is very great woman.
I respect her from the heart.
She is the woman whom the woman has a crush on.
Yes, I am so glad she stepped down and got married and became a normal person.
Its such the more classy thing to do, than to be like all the others whose talents are spent yet they still keey TRYING.
Sometimes ya just gotta get married and be boring and step out of the limelight.
8Seen it before... heard it all before.
I've always found her boring and she's not someone I look up too. I'm glad that she's NOW found someone who she loves and want's to be with.. (don't get her other husbands or the whole Ben thing) and I'm really pleased that their about to have a little one (or two).. But.. I'd be quite happy to never hear or see her again.. enjoy your life and your cash!
9yes,yes,yes!
10She married and became more beautiful.
She is such a Jack of all trades master of none. She has her hands in everything, movies, music and fashion, and yet isn't really good at any of it. Decent enough to succeed but not great.
11Her hair is always so pretty! So jealous!
12I think this is bogus too! Working for the money vs creativity. BLAH BLAH, you wish you were still Jenny from the block! UGH... go back to your fancy miami mansion, biotch.
13desperatediva, thats exactly what i was thinking while reading this interview. its really laughable because she is not the only one i heard this from. i find it funny, why dont we just take away all the money from hollywood and see if any of these stars still feel very creative and artistic. pathetic....
14J.LO is beyond rich!
15and who are u?some miserable haters who can do nothin but sit next 2 ur PC and trash talk bout her and wish u had only a quarter of her money!!
forgot 2 say ADORE her hair on this cover!
I actually like reading about J Lo now. I hated her when she was on the tabloid covers a la Brit every week.
16I LOVE U JENNIFER
jennifer is the real perfomer
she enjoys it and she wants to do what she wants from the heart
not for the money
I really respect her.
btw, what a nice pics. she looks so gorgeous!
17as if anyone believes.
18*rolls eyes*
I LOVE Jennifer Lopez. She's driven, creative, entertaining, & not hard to look at. I have every one of her albums & I like most of her movies. I do own one of her perfumes, but the others are not so yummy to me.
That being said, I think it's laughable when any rich celeb says they are not doing "it" for the money, but just to be creative. In Jenny's defense, she did say "I've been lucky that because of what I do as a performer, I've also been able to do stuff like fragrances that I love." Maybe what she should have said was "I've got more money than God, so I can afford to try the fragrance thing, as a different creative outlet, & if it fails, I'm still super rich so no harm done! If it succeeds, then I'll make even more money & yippee--I got to be creative!" I think that's more likely what all the celebs mean when they say stuff like that. I think it would be refreshing if/when one of them actually does make that kind of blunt statement. It will probably never happen though.
19we can say that she doesn't work for the money particularly this last 3/4? years, all she has been doing is independant movies she could have made 3 rom-com and get more than $10M for each movies. The succes of her frangrance is probably why she's able to do that which is great. Good for her.
And i LOOve this cover.
20I personally don't think she's a strong singer or actor, but she can dance. Haven't smelled any of her perfumes yet but I can't stand her clothing line. Her husband can sing though, that's for damn sure...and he's not such a bad actor either. I think he's the talented one of the two, she's just the better looking of the two.
21I agree everything Jmast said.
Marc doesn't have to be "in your face" b/c he is very talented. Jennifer is selling an image overall.
22Ims we are I2I. Great point. Jenifer Lopez looks great, and has always photographed well.
23WOW ....I want that hair, so gorgeous.
She is Great LOVE HER!!!!
24Jennifer is beautiful and very successful despite what some haters want to say. Its great she finally found true love and will soon have a beautiful family!
25i love that color yellow.
26yay!! she deserves everything. im so happy!! i get this magazine!!!
27Meh. I'm surprised her husband married her then. He is so private and she is so public.
28ariyana_anthony - So you basically support someone who willingly uses fur in her clothing line, even after she learned of how those animals are tortured and murdered for their fur? I'd rather be poor than to be like her.
At least I make good money and innocent animals don't die in the process!
29DespeateDiva
30yes i do! bcuz she is not da only one who does it and if im gonna hate people who use animal in ANY WAY then i have to hate more than half of da world! human use animal anyway dat they can! the meat we eat is from animal, the leathers is from their skin!so fur is not the only thing!
beyonce, jayz, snoop dog, pdiddy etc etc the list of names has no end....
*i meants the list of people who wear fur.
31Nice photos. But it's over for her in some entertainment areas.
32So beautiful!!
