Ashlee Simpson showed off a new darker hair color to go with her all-black ensemble in LA yesterday. It's not as drastic as the black hair she sported back in the days of The Ashlee Simpson Show, but her new color will definitely set her apart from Jessica again. Personally we're already missing her wavy blonde hair, but many of you voted light brown as the best look for Ashlee. How are you feeling about her deep-reddish color?

1The photography doesn't really help. She looks like she's glowing in the dark, but she's not that pale. (Not that there's anything wrong with that - I'm the palest person I know.) In general I like that color but I'll have to see it in better light / photos to see how it works with her.

7I actually like it. A lot. I'm not a fan of blondes, anyway, and considering how she annoys me so, this is an improvement in my opinion.

17Love it. Her best choice yet. Never really thought she was attractive, but this color certainly makes her look better. She is pale; however, it is winter and we must be careful of harmful UV rays.

31I hate her, but I like the dark hair. She looks 10% more likely to be recognized in a crowd now. She looks boring and typical with her former hairstyle. Maybe she should try getting a fresh haircut, though.

34Why are we looking and commenting on a "celebrity" ...and i use that term lightly that hasnt had a hit album in three years, has admitted to lipsinging during "live" shows, has been BOOED off of stage and hasnt "done" anything noteworthy but be a fedora wearing sidekick to an even less interesting person...her boyfriend...who by the way is infamous for showing his Peenis to the world and is in a horrible pop band?
who gives a rip if she colors her hair, she probably was talking to her manager and he said "i havent seen any pictures of you lately...so lets color your hair!" and she did it like the publicity Wh*re she is.

46I don't like it in these pictures, but the lighting makes her look REALLY pale. I think I need to see some pictures where her skin looks normal before I can decide if I like the new color or not.
47Wow! It's going to take a little getting used to but I like it.
48The color isn't bad on her but the ends are so fried it's really hard to tell. I think if she cut it to shoulder level and took out the extensions it would be pretty cute.
49It's hard to say because of the poor lighting caused by the camera flash, but I think it's better, though not quite there.
She should have gone with a sligtly more strawberry blonde, with orange undertones instead of blue ones. Red is a really trickly color because you need to get the right undertone for your skin.
But, you know, the lighting isn't great so who's to say. It's definitely an improvement. Now, for the love of god, ditch the extensions! A feirce little bob would be so cute on her.
