With Katie doing the talk show rounds, Tom Cruise spent yesterday taking care of his own business in NYC with midtown meetings in his fancy shades. If it were any bother that his scandalous unauthorized biography hits shelves today, you wouldn't know it by looking at his typical smile. Among all the other Scientology-related claims, the book says that Hollywood is scared to say anything negative about Tom, which could either be true or a way to explain a lack of damning quotes about the movie star. That isn't to say that there aren't a whole lot of things to say about Tom, which you all seemed to agree with after watching that intense video yesterday afternoon.

I am not a fan of Scientology - thinks it a little weird, but seriously give the guy a break! He truly believes in something. How many of us can say the same?
Its bothersome because unauthorized biographies come out all the time about celebrities, dignitaries, politicians, etc and we usually hear nothing, but This guy sees Tom Cruise jump on oprahs couch and he decides to "uncover the true story of the biggest celebrity of our age"
Morton, is cashing in on all the buzz around cruise, he is betting that people will think he has "answered" all those "questions" the public has about him. I love that it just came out and its already only 17 bucks on amazon, with no reviews.

14I bet there is a good portion of that book that is true. People are terrified to speak publicly against the Scientologists. They are bullies and they are dangerous.
15Scientologists are huge bullies. they twist everything and their secrecy only feeds fuel to the fire about their wackiness.
16regardless of the weird rumors surrounding him, i still love him as an actor and still find him attractive. and isnt that all that matters when it comes to celebrities? who cares about their personal lives. all i know is all his movies are enjoyable and entertaining and that is what is important to me. and tbgallager, i believe in something! Jesus! sometimes it feels like i'm the only one left.

18You know, I watched that video and since then have been thinking of the parallels in what Tom says to the information in the Nazi propaganda films I watched in film class. Clearly Scientologists consider themselves a superior group/class of humans, and judging from what Tom says, they look forward to the day when it's only them.
No wonder Germany won't recognize them.
I am already sick of hearing about this book.

20I ordered that book today, can't wait to read it. No matter how ridiculous some of the claims sound, it is all possible and believable when it comes to weirdo Tom and his robotic fake family.
