We've been hearing about a new Indiana Jones movie for a while and now it's been confirmed that Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have finished the script and filming will begin this year. Harrison Ford will reprise his 80's role as the (once) sexy archaeologist. Lucas, who rode in the Rose Bowl Parade as the Grand Marshal is very excited about the fourth Indiana Jones installment. Here's more:

"It's going to be fantastic. It's going to be the best one yet," the 62-year-old filmmaker said during a break from preparing for his duties as grand marshal of Monday's Rose Parade.
The fourth chapter of the "Indiana Jones" saga, which will hit theaters in May 2008, has been in development for over a decade with several screenwriters taking a crack at the script, but it only recently gained momentum.
Lucas kept mum about the plot, but said that the latest action flick will be a "character piece" that will include "very interesting mysteries."
"I think it's going to be really cool," Lucas said.
"Mostly it's the charm of Harrison that makes it work," he said.
We can't wait to see what Lucas and Spielberg have come up with for Indy, and we're excited to see if Harrison can still work it after 17 years. To see more pics of George Lucas and other Star Wars characters in the Rose Bowl parade, just read more

Oh Harrison Ford was so dreamy back then...he has not aged gracefully like Sean Connery but I am sure he will still be great in his role.
My favourite part in Indiana Jones is when girl writes love you on her eyelids...I wish I had a teacher that cute....dreamy
1Is it mean, that I totally dont care...??
2It's okay tifygodess24, I won't be standing in line at the theater for it either. I am curious though to see if Harrison can still swing from a rope in his old age.
3I can't stand George Lucas.
What's with all these old men reprising roles from decades ago? Sly Stallone with Rocky, Harrison with Ford....what's next, is Ralph Macchio going to make another Karate Kid? Or maybe Michael J. Fox will make another Back to the Future?
I know I'm overreacting, I know Mr. Miyagi's dead, and I know Fox can't really make a movie...but you get my point right?
4I'll go, I loved those movies! And I bet Sean Connery will be back as his father, and they will introduce a younger actor as his long lost son, if not son then possibly a nephew or whatever.. but it will be a three generational thing
5Seriously? Just like Rocky, this would be overkill.
6He's gonna break a hip.
7I think it's best I don't watch this, myself, because I truly don't want to ruin something I grew up watching.
8It would've been cooler if Harrison Ford played the "dad" role that sean connery once played, and they hired some hot young rugged thing to play Indy Jr.
9I loved the Indiana Jones series, I just wonder if Harrison can step up into the role as well now that he is older.
10I'll see it - I can't resist.
11Whoa....isn't he a little old for this?
12our family friend was in the older indiana jones but harrison ford killed him so i dont think hes gonna be in this one!!
13I am sure he will be fine...the stunt men will be doing overtime in this movie
14I agree that Ford is past his prime for this movie. Its ridiculaous that a 60 year old man would be Indiana Jones. They just don't know when to leave well enough alone.
I see the commercials for Rocky and cringe, Sly's face looks frozen, and it just looks stupid.
Maybe Lucas is out of ideas, he "redid" the Star Wars Tri too.
Fresh ideas guys!

They have been working on this for years and years and never could agree on the script..strange timing that now its a green light!
I am sure that they are going to show that Indiana is retired along with his dad (Connery) and (rumor has it that several of his past love interests resurface) my bet is that he has a son he didn't know about in jeopary held by a bad guy who wants an artifact that he feels only Indy can succeed in obtaining.. all conjecture, but I think this one will be really good!
16Wow, I haven't seen all of the Indiana movies... just the first one.
17I'll probably rent it when it's out on dvd or something...

I love the Indiana Jones movies...I can't wait for this movie to come out! I have no idea how they're going to get Harrison Ford to do an action/adventure movie in his old age, but I am totally looking forward to seeing how they pull it off!
