Ben Affleck has landed in DC to begin researching his role in State of Play. The movie was originally a dream cast reunion of Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, but those guys have bailed and Ben has replaced Norton. Affleck's character is a politician on the rise, which seems like a dream role for the actor who has certainly never shied away from speaking his mind on political matters. While in town Ben met with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and delegates from his home state of Massachusetts, and apparently all the women working on the Hill rushed to have their picture taken with him upon hearing that he was on the premises. Even if Ben was second choice for the film, it sounds like he's still ranked pretty high with the ladies down in DC.

4I am a bit concerned about this film. When it was done as a miniseries in the UK, it gathered a TON of critical acclaim. Now they are trying to continue the movie with out writers on set for re-writes. I just think that is a bad idea, good writing is so important!
I really like Ben and I think he has a lot of talent he has yet to show off. His directing skills in Gone Baby Gone really impressed me. I just hope the strike ends soon and they get writers to work on this movie.

9That's Dulles airport- The worse freak'n airport on this side of the map ! I was just there for New Years and literally had to wait in line for AN HOUR just to check my luggage. I'm certain people like Ben Affleck do not wait ... The Benefits of being a power star !!!! I want to be famous in my next life- Skip to the front of lines, get DWIs, go to Rehab, party at the best hotels, clubs and islands for free just to advertise ... Ugh !

15Russell Crowe is starring, taking the Pitt role. Good choice... he's a much better actor. I don't know about Ben though. I think Edward Norton is superior... but too bad he had to bow out.
16What happened to him? Seriously gaunt and ghostly? What happened to fresh vibrant and sexy Ben? He looks sick. Poor guy. JLo please come back and revive him.
