Katherine Heigl arrived in LA after her busy promotional tour in NYC. Unfortunately based on the cigarette in her hand, it looks like her hopes of quitting that nasty habit were put on hold, but luckily Katherine has other successes to celebrate. Her film 27 Dresses came in at #2 at the box office this weekend, taking in over $22 million. Most of you preferred to see Katherine on the big screen, and it looks like she's definitely got the star power to keep making movies if she ever decides to leave her fellow doctors over at Seattle Grace.

3oh, let the girl smoke for cryin out loud! it's HER lungs!
4Johnn Deep smokes..
5Johnny Deep*
6Ugh, she's really starting to annoy me! Enough of her!
7Her movie was expected to pull in around 20 Million, so she lived up to expectations. This will really help her career.
8It was a cute movie. Katherine, Katherine, I love you so much, but why would you do something so silly as smoke?
9i saw 27 dresses and at moments it was funny and others were quite boring. now if only katherine could kick those bad habits - smoking is not attractive - and to think that she's been so vocal about trying to quit....
10Please oh please can she leave Seattle Grace!!!
All she needs to do is sign on the dotted line with emphysema-produced mucus!!!!
PS: Funny thing, her smoking doesn't bother me, it's probably the one thing that doesn't!!!
11erratic-assassin - It's not just her lungs, it's also the lungs of everyone who is unfortunate enough to come in contact with her while she's smoking.
12But I agree get rid of the cigs
13Oh Lights On, the lungs of those around her? Please. The smog in LA is killing everyone who walks around just as much as a few whiffs of cigarette smoke will.
Some people could argue that drinking is a nasty habit that kills your liver. But no one ever makes any comments about "Oh, I wish she would ditch that silly rum and coke, it's so unhealthy." I'm a smoker, and I'm very good about where I smoke, ie, outside or in my own home. It's not like you can smoke in restaurants, or bars, or anywhere inside, so all of you non-smokers are very well protected. Don't crucify the woman b/c she's having an after lunch cigarette.
If the paparazzi are so concerned for their health maybe they shouldn't walk 6 inches from her lit cigarette.
14I just read something that said she had to pay Josh $20 every time she smokes around him because he hates it too. Nasty habit.
15which female celebrities don;t smoke?
16I dont really care if she smokes - each their own
17I notice on Regis the other morning that she got those jagged teeth fixed finally. Her top front teeth have all been capped or veneer... and it looks so much better.
18it's her life... not a choice that i would make, but i still adore her.
19she is no smoker literally - she just smokes a few cigarettes a day to relax a bit. Smoking up to five cigs a day isn´t harmful. People smoked up to 60 cigs a day when smoking was socially accepted. With 4 cigs a day you can´t go wrong. We should rather be happy that she isn´t addicted to valium and xanax - now that would be a problem. In my experience women who smoke don´t take so much psychatric drugs because they don´t have that much anxiety problems.
20Her body, not yours
21It's not the smoking that bothers me , it's her. Sorry not a fan, just hoping that once the press is over for her movie , she will go away for a bit , maybe she'll become less annoying.
22I wonder what her lungs look like.
23Yoonyah,
So what about Britney Spears...she smokes...FREQUENTLY...and she's a physical and mental disaster. And your reasoning that women who smoke don't take much psychiatric drugs could be opposed with the fact that many smokers claim that cigarettes help to alleviate their anxiety, meaning these people still have anxiety issues, but instead of using a "psychiatric" drug, they instead have turned to nicotine!!!
24tiabia - sorry, I was off the net for 1 day. I´m 100% with you on this. Many people with anxiety issues smoke instead of taking benzodiazipes or other drug - but me thinks that nicotine is better and "healthier" than valium and xanax. So if it workes for someone (and he/she doesn´t smoke loads) - why not?
