Lindsay Lohan went from partying in Miami to ending up in the hospital but it's not what you are thinking. The sober starlet is getting her appendix removed. TMZ has confirmed with LL's rep that she is having the surgery today. Apparently she is doing well and currently "resting comfortably." Lindsay is in the hospital almost as many times as she crashes her car. At least she is feeling better and probably getting some well needed rest. I wonder if Scott is by her side.

Are you sure it isn't a liver transplant? (rolls eyes). Can she get frequent flyer miles from all of the hospitals she has been in?
1This is odd. Doesnt this cause a lot of pain? Im just thinking we would have heard about it before a surgery was schedule, but maybe Im wrong. Is there any other reason to just up and decide to get your appendix taken out? I bet Whip would have something to say about this...
2i wish i could get a better look at the bathing suit - green is my absolute favorite color to wear & i SO want to see how this one looks
3OMG Ima, I think youre right!
4OMG!!! this girl is sick and injured all the time...
5Aurix...
I hope she gets better soon, that sounds painful!
6Crispy, it does cause a lot of pain, but it's usually pretty sudden. My boyfriend started out with mild stomach pains which got worse and worse until six hours later, when they were excruciating. So it happens pretty quickly. She may have felt completely fine yesterday or the day before.
And the surgery happens very quickly, because if the appendix is inflamed, it could burst at any time, which is VERY dangerous.
7apendacities (sp?) just sorta hits you. My best friend has to have hers out & she sadi she had a really bad tummy ache for a few days & went to the ER & they practically threw her in the OR. it is really painful & no fun. But you do get good meds!
8Ah I see. Shes a slut.
9lol! jinx, Whippy!
10what about recovery time? i hope she doesnt lose a bunch of weight in the hospital, she doesn't have much to lose.
11tootie fruity sunken bootie.............no really, I hope she feels better. Appendix removal scars are huge...but I bet she'll have hers revised before summertime to show off that super flat bottom of hers...
12"Are you sure it isn't a liver transplant?"
Almost exactly what I was going to say.
13Well, if this is true... then all I can do is to hope her a good recovery...
then I want to
say Shame on you!
Hopefully she'll be good soon and entertain us
with more outrageous happenings!
14But if it's just a bogus thing and she's getting a liver transplant
Haha, noo

paige-there are some bigger pics on egotastic
15this girl is sooo run down but thats what happens when you party hard
16I have been reading pop for over a year. I am finally getting a username.
17I had my appendix out when I was 18. (2 years ago)
It is the most pain I have ever been in. You literally feel like a knife is going into your side. I woke up at 5 threw up till 12. Went to the ER and had to have emergency surgery. My scar is about an inch long. However, if it wouldn't have had to be emergency surgery then it is 2 tiny dots that you can't see.
I swear she has the wierdest booty ever!
18*say something nice, say something nice brokenhalo!* I really like her bikini...
19She looks good in these pictures. Maybe its cuz its from a far. Who's Scott anyway? New boyfriend?
20i don't think you can have appendicitis from partying too hard guys, but i could be wrong. i hope she takes her time on the recovery.
21I thought only 50 year old men had their appendix removed usually? I guess I could be wrong, you don't hear about too many young people having this procedure, at least I don't.

Yeah!!!
Nope, it can happen to anyone. Happened to my boyfriend at age 25.
And, no, it has nothing to do with partying too hard. If you really want to know, it's because sometimes a piece of stool breaks off when it's going through the intestines and gets stuck inside the appendix, causing a backup of bacteria, and thus inflammation.
23Interesting...I wonder what LL has that keeps men drooling over her? I need to know the answer to that secret b.cuz I honestly can't figure it out!
24I had my appendix removed when I was 18
25And it wasn't from partying I never drank then. The doctors gave my parents no explnation.
26That is the most pain I have ever been in.
And I couldn't ski in 2 tournaments.
like 3 of my friends had it removed in high school...they were only out of school for like 2 days, so recovery time is pretty quick!
27I wonder if she'll leave hospital with new boobs/nose?
28Is she wearing the bikini top in that third pic???
Definitely doesn't look like
it!!
29Yes you can see the string.
30No, it's not caused by partying, and personally, I've heard of more younger people having to have theirs removed. I had mine out when I was 14. The doctors figured I'd had appendicitis for about a month, but didn't really feel it until the last day or so, when it ruptured and started to get gangrene. (Gross, I know - sorry!) I was it the hospital for a week, and out of school for another, and my scar is still really bad.
Still, I fared better than my great-aunt, who died of a ruptured appendix when she was 6 years old.
31Should say, in the hospital...
32celebrities are such delicate creatures aren't they...sigh
33My friend had her appendix out last week. most appendectomies nowadays only involve keyhole surgery, unless the appendix has ruptured.
34I was 21 and 5 months pregnant when I had my appendix taken out.
35Hope she gets well soon.
36I had two friends have theirs out in high school, and my mom had to have hers out after having my brother (who set the hospital record for biggest baby). It hits you fast, and usually within 48 hours of onset you know something's really wrong. The scar isn't that big, and if the appendix isn't burst the surgery is usually done laproscopically. Geez, too much information.
37And as much as I hate LL, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. She definitely has my sympathies.
38hope she feels better soon
39Yeah, my boyfriend had his done laproscopically. He's got three teeny tiny little scars on his belly. One is in his belly button so you can't even see it.
He was in horrible pain. We had to wait a few hours before they could get him into the OR, and they were pumping him full of morphine, and he was STILL in horrible pain.
40Having your appendix out hurts. I had mine taken out when I was 16 and the pain was unbearable. I couldn't stand, couldn't sit...the only way to numb *some* of the pain was to lay on my right side.
Hopefully she has the laproscopic surgery. A teacher I had at the time of my surgery had it laproscopically and she had 3 little marks on her stomach. I didn't and now almost 8 year later, I've still got a very long and visible scar on my bikini line.
It's a painful recovery since you don't realise how much you use your stomach muscles. I was useless for like 2 weeks.
41I don't know any normal person who is in the hospital as much as she is.
42I hope she feels better, I thought she was in the hospital for partying hard at first.
43I hope she feels better, I thought she was in the hospital for partying hard at first.
44Well, I'm sure she will have which ever surgery leaves her the least scared. How would she live with herself if she had a big ugly scar and could not wear her bikini? So next we will hear rumor of her being addicted to pain meds.
45This is definetely not from partying - my sister had hers taken out when she was 9! It hit her all of a sudden, too. I think LL needs a long vacation away from Hollywood & start surrounding herself with better peole. Can you imagine seeing scott storch's creepy face as you wake up from general anesthesia? gross!
46I'd say she's in for some more work. Bigger sweater puppies probably, or a brow lift, lip injections, cheek inplants and veneers.
47My ass! She was drunk...
48One of my friends had it when she was 20 years old and something wrong happened and she got huge infection, I think it was not treated on time and she almost died.
49pixi, none of those procedures require hospitalization. she'd just need to be holed up for a week or two.
hope she gets better.
