Aaaaaand she's in rehab? After the Tuesday morning rumor mill about Amy Winehouse being in rehab, followed by a quick denial from her publicist, her record label released a statement today that she is, in fact, getting treatment. Before that, however, she was spotted looking about as put together as she can these days out around London. Meanwhile, the police are still figuring out what to do with video footage showing Amy smoking crack that leaked to the press this week. Regarding rehab, the statement from Universal Music Group said:
"Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors. She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards. She is nominated in an incredible six categories."
I'm no doctor, but considering the Grammy Awards are just a little more than two weeks away, it seems a little soon for her to be planning big celebratory trips to LA. Just saying. Well, hopefully she's (stop me if you've heard this one before) getting the help she definitely needs.

I never really understood why ppl use drugs. I smoked cigs for a yr and my fiance asked me to quit it took me 1 day to get over it but I guess drugs are more addictive.

3DaniCe- consider yourself EXTREMELY luck that you were able to quit smoking in one day. Drugs, cigarettes and alcohol are extremely addictive and hard to quit. People can go through extreme withdrawals just coming off the drugs then there is a whole process of understanding your problems and learning to deal with things without drugs. Its a very long process and you never are cured of addiction. Ask anyone who use to be an addict...its something they deal with everyday for the rest of their lives.
