Paris Hilton headed to a mall in Philadelphia yesterday to do some promotional work for her upcoming movie The Hottie and the Nottie. She played with one of our favorite toys, the fabulous Flip camcorder while she chatted it up with local radio stations. Paris also met lots of screaming fans, and when asked about her appeal, she said, "I think maybe it's because I'm real. People can relate to me. They see things that have happened in my life. And that I'm sweet. I feel that when you truly are a good person, it will shine through in your eyes - shine through from your heart to your eyes - and people will see that. Princess Diana, who I love, she had that."
Somehow, "real" isn't the first word that comes to mind when we think of Paris, but we do give her credit for heading to the mall to meet fans instead of hitting the stores.

There is so much wrong with that quote I wouldn't even know where to start.
38She says some stupid things, this being one of the dumbest but please, enough with the negativity, she really does look like she is trying to be a nice, pleasant person having a good time. She is always smiling in her photos, goofing off and playing around. The personality she gives off in these photos is about 100 times more appealing than all of the negative comments on here. Women shouldn't be picking each other apart, we should be building each other up.
Princess Diana was a great woman, but let's not over-romanticize things. She had her fair share of problems and was a controversial figure. How does a string of affairs compare to a DUI? Diana also certainly visited her fair share of nightclubs in Soho. While, Paris will probably never do the amount of charity work, or be capable of being as loved as Diana was, hey at least she has a good role model.

45She was at Franklin Mills mall which is a really big outlet mall. It's actually a great mall, but those of us who live close to it make fun of it b/c its a little well, lets just say that Paris would NEVER shop there.
I considered going b/c its just a 10 minute drive for me and I thought it would be really funny to just see Paris in Franklin Mills (again, you wouldn't get it unless you live right near it), but I figured it would be packed so passed on it.

Princess Di is hardly a role model to Hilton. This is just more publicity hype on Hilton's part, and just as disengenuous. Hilton continues to demonstrate that she is the consummate phony.
